My Maid/Matron of Honor is planning on throwing me a shower but since she is unfamiliar with my area (I live in the same area of all other family and BM’s so we will be having it here) she has asked for some guidance on where to hold the shower. I live in an apartment complex so we can’t have it at my home, but we do have a clubhouse that could be used. I just don’t know what type of suggestions to give her. Where do people hold showers? At home? Restaurant? Some event space? I’d like to keep this as low-key and inexpensive as possible. I will only have 15-20 women at the shower. Thanks for any help!
P.S. – I live in Denver, so if any of you have any local suggestions, I’m open!

I’ve been to a shower at all of those locations: home, restauarnt, community club house. so those are all great suggestions.

sometimes they are held at a home, restaurant with a private room, fire halls
The clubhouse would work!

Bumping this for suggestions…. my aunt from out of state is hosting mine and keeps asking me where to have it. I am thinking a KoC hall, or something like that. Maybe a restaurant, but that sounds like it will get pricey fast. We’re going to have like 50 people invited (eeck!) so will need a decently large space.

Thanks for the comments! I’ll look into the clubhouse and some local restaurants but please, keep the ideas coming! I could use all the help I can get. 🙂

Im actually hosting one of my friends a shower in the community area of my apartments. I think it will be great and it saved a lot of money because we can bring in our own food.

All of the above work just fine! Mine is being held in a friend’s condo clubhouse (it’s gorgeous).
I’d compare pricing between bringing in sandwiches/finger foods to your clubhouse versus renting a space at a restaurant. If there aren’t any affordable restaurant banquet spaces to rent, go with your clubhouse.

Showers can be held pretty much anywhere. I threw one and used my apartment complex’s clubhouse. I’ve also been to one in a restaurant, at someone’s home, and at a rented space in a government building. I actually wanted to have one of my showers outside at a apple orchard, but it was too expensive. So a nice park or orchard or something would also be fun!
