I was just following a thread that was very active and what I assume is a moderator closed it. Isn’t this what discussion boards are for? To discuss? I don’t understand why it would be closed. Because too many people want to talk about the issue?

They’re usually closed if either the OP requests it (or closes it themselves) or if the posts violate the TOS.

HiveFive: it depends. Sometimes moderator will close a thread (typically they leave a note at the end saying WHY they closed it) but users can also close their own threads. If you feel your thread has gone off course, you’re not liking the conversation etc you can close it.

Ah I see. The OP didn’t close it, but people were being nasty. Thanks for the heads ladies 🙂
