So a previous post I threw out there to get general ideas made me continue on my research… Soooo here’s the gist of my wedding.. My ladies are wearing a lovely dark purple (DB’s lapis to be exact) long dresses and silver shoes. Groomsmen are wearing black tuxes with grey/silver. I am wearing a light ivory dress… my question is, will silver gittery shoes look okay?? or will it clash with the light ivory??? anyways here are some of the shoes I’m looking at.

I don’t think the silver shoes will clash. I’ve seen lots of brides wear glittery shoes, and I think they look great. I vote #1, but I also like #2.

Its really hard to choose! I’m not really a fan of the coarse glitter on shoe #2. Shoes #1 looks great! If you DIY the purple, use the martha stewart glitter. Its super fine and looks really pretty!

I think the purple would look great with the ivory! I like #3, but if you do the glitter.. definitely go for the Martha Stewart glitter, as suggested above! I’ve DIY’ed some glitter shoes with her glitter several times and they turned out GREAT!

I like satin better than glitter, but if you looooove the glitter do it anyways!

I like the purple shoe idea, have you checkout out Nina Shoes? They have some great purple pump styles! http://ninashoes.com/purple-162

I think the silver shoes might be off with the ivory dress. I think purple would be a better bet… but then, I’m wearing purple (glitter) shoes with my ivory gown, so I’m biased 🙂

@Eireann: For the DIY shoes, what shoe material works the best? I’ve seen the directions and it looks pretty fun! oh and did you use the modge podge method or the glue with sealant method?

@Beckster329: Yea i think i’m getting more swayed to that direction 😀 did you find your shoes or did you diy them?
