Welcome to WeddingBee!

Where in Wisconsin are you? Anywhere near Madison? Do you already have a place in mind where you are going to get the work done?

If you are at all close to Madison and if you haven’t already settled on a jeweler, I think you should go talk to Jason and Jackie at Jeweler’s Workshop on Sherman Avenue. They do really fantastic stuff, and Jackie in particular is wonderful with floral motifs. They collaborated on our rings, and my Fiance and I couldn’t be happier with them. I bet they would be able to do something gorgeous with your diamonds, incorporating sunflowers. PM me if you’d like more info.

I like the last one. Could you make it shaped more like a flower for a subtle sunflower feel?

IDK if any of these combos will work, not sure how large the diamonds are you are using, but hope this helps inspire ideas.

Hooray for bezels!  I’d probably skip the sunflower one.  It’s very pretty but it’s so huge–it would be pretty bulky for every day wear and unless sunflowers have a special significance to you, probably not the best place for them.  I really like the stacked and the very tight bezels the best–it would depend on your lifestyle.  If you’re out and about and work with your hands a lot, I can see one of the stacked bezels getting bent or pulled off–the very tight would be very secure.  But if you’re an indoors sort of girl, I’d go for the stacked because it’s really awesome looking.

Since these diamonds are extremely sentimental to you, I would go with the tight bezel to ensure their safety. That also looks pretty so I think it’s a win win.

Eh, you can wear whatever you like as your wedding band. This is the ring you will wear all day, every day – it should be something you love, regardless of whether or not it conforms to other people’s ideas about what a wedding ring “should” look like.

Here is the ring we designed with Jason and Jackie at the Jewelers Workshop. It’s certainly not a typical engagement/wedding ring, but I love it, I’m absolutely thrilled with how it turned out, and I’m delighted to wear it. I generally dislike wearing rings, but I am happy to wear this one and have it be the one ring I will wear all the time.

@KCKnd2:  GAH! Just missed the 1-hour cutoff to add an edit to my earlier comment:

The other place we seriously considered, before settling on Jewelers Workshop, was Studio Jewelers (also in Madison, on Regent Street, not far from the football stadium). They also do custom work, and one of their designers, Dmitry Pavlov, had some really stuff with floral/leaf/nature motifs. The stones in all of his rings were bezel set, I believe. That would be another place in Wisconsin where you might find someone to do custom work and help you create the ring you’re looking for.
