LOL I get up 2.5 hours before I have to be to work currently. It’s ridiculous, I know. I used to get up at 6 to be to work at 8. Then for the winter/slow season, they cut me back to 8:30, but I kept my 6AM wakeup for when it went back to 8…which it didn’t. I kind of like it, though. I can get up, wash my face, eat breakfast, get ready, and not be rushing around to get everything done. It takes me a while to get ready because my hair takes forever, so that’s something that can’t really be helped.

I start my new job in two weeks and I think I have to be to work at 9, so I’ll probably move up to 6:30 or so.

I get up between 6:50 and 7:10 depending on if the dog needs to go out or not (if my husband has taken him out already). I have to be at work at 8. I live about 10 minutes away, so it’s not that bad BUT I am ALWAYS rushing. I just can’t make myself get up any earlier than I absolutely have to.

I have to be at work at 7am and have an hour commute. I get up between 5:30 and 5:40 and leave at 6:15…so I’m kinda rushed in the morning but there’s no way I’m getting up any earlier

@rcac1208: I always shower the night before. That saves a lot of time. I have some days where I need to be at work earlier than others, but most of the time it’s like this:

    7:15–wake up
    7:20–feed cat, take vitamins
    7:25–pick clothes out
7:30–brush teeth, eyeliner, foundation, lipstick. Put hair in neat low ponytail. This is the most stressful part of the routine because I rush through it.
7:45–rush out of house to get cab share on corner
    8:10–arrive at work
8:30–eat breakfast at work (usu. yogurt)

I should probably leave myself more time, but sleep is too precious.

Congrats on the new job! I have an hour-long commute so I usually wake up 15 minutes or so before I have to get out the door. I take my shower and prepare my meals at night so I have as little as possible to do in the morning. I literally just brush my teeth, fix my hair, get dressed and run out the door. If I want to wear something nicer I arrange my clothes the night before, otherwise I just grab something that looks OK from my closet.

I get up at about 6:45 and leave by 7:15. I can get ready for work in less than 15 minutes. I pack my lunch, pick out my outfit, and shower the night before. I also don’t wear make up so all I do in the morning is run a straightener through my hair and make my coffee. I eat breakfast at work.

I get up around 7am (sometimes I push that to 7:20) to leave the house by 8 (start time of 8:30). My alarm starts going off around 6:30-6:40, but I am a big fan of the snooze button, and my Darling Husband leaves at 6:15 so he isn’t home to be bothered by it LOL.

I wake up about 30 min before I leave for work then have a 20-30 min commute, so I’m getting up an hour total before work starts. Here’s my routine…

    • I get up, make a cup of tea. While that’s brewing…I brush teeth, put in contacts, put on moisturizer.  7 min
    • Grab my tea, go put on my make up. 5 min
    • Flat Iron Hair (always wash my hair night before) 7 min
    • Get dressed, put on jewelery. 6 min
    • Make cup of coffee in travel mug. 3 min
    • Grab coffee, bag, keys, lock door… 2 min
    • Out the door!

I eat breakfast at work, usually coffee and something like a cliff bar, belvita, maybe fruit or yogurt.

I start work at 7 AM.

I have a 45 min commute in the morning and have to be at the office at 8:30am.  I work out after work so I wash and blow dry my hair the night before, make my lunches for the week on Sunday (mason jar salads) and prepare crockpot meals (freeze them in baggies to toss into crockpot), iron the night before, makes SOs lunch, and pretty much make sure that everything is put away.  In the morning I wake up at 6am, walk the dogs, pull out meat to defrost or put on the crockpot with a bag of frozen stuff made up on Sunday, make breakfast (eggs and sausage), shower, throw a straightening iron through my hair, dress, make bed, and pack my lunch.  I put on makeup in the car since SO and I drive in together. He drives in and I do make up. I drive home and he responds to emails. You just have to get used to doing everything the night before for the most part and preparing some items on Sunday so you can breeze through mornings.

@rcac1208:  Congrats on the new job! It takes me about 45 minutes to get ready in the morning. I eat breakfast at work, so I get to sleep in a little longer.

@rcac1208:  I wake up an hour before I have to leave (I leave 15-30 minutes before I have to be at work). I usually lay in bed for 15 minutes then it takes me another 30-45 to shower, do my hair/makeup, get dressed.  DH will usually make me breakfast I take in the car and my lunch is usually already packed the night before or I pack lunches for the week on Sunday.

I don’t get out of bed until about 7:15 normally.  I leave by 7:35/7:40 to get to work at 8.  So that only leaves me about 20 minutes to get ready.

I just get dressed, brush my hair, take vitamins, feed the cats, make the bed, and grab my breakfast and lunch to go.  I normally eat my breakfast in the car!  I don’t wear makeup normally.

I generally work out after work so I shower after that and not in the morning.
