I really like the sentimentalness behind the simple band. I also like how it looks. An eternity band could easily overwhelm your ering, and I feel like since you like the side details you might lose that as well.

Either option would be fine but the idea of having something old and in your family would be pretty awesome.

I think something old from both sides is wonderful.

@MsSven:  first off, the plain band looks great with your ering !! second, i am in the same position. ering stone is from fi’s grandmother and i have a beautiful vintage wedding band from MY grandmother! but……while i love them both, i also wanted something new, from my fi. so, i am going to wear the other two heirloom rings together…..and get a plain additional band for when i want to wear something on its own. 🙂 hope that helps!

@MsSven:  I LOVE the way the plain band looks! Do you know how wide it is?

I would love to have something from both (or even one…) sides!! I think you should definitely use your grandmother’s!

I like the idea of you using your grandmothr’s band. You can alway get an eternity band as An anniversary ring or just because and use it to dress up the whole look by stacking

I like the plain band, and I also like the idea behind it (one ring from each of the family).

@MsSven:  Can you have the diamonds from your FI’s grandmother’s wedding band reset into a new, smaller (i.e. your size), vintage-inspired eternity ring? Then you can have all three heirloom pieces and wear your grandmother’s plain band as part of a ring stack or when you don’t want to wear your diamonds.

@MsSven:  Super cool to have 2 family heirloom’s that’s for sure.
