@peachacid:  I live in New Orleans! I’ve been before. If you want to see a specific band then you have to figure out what day they are playing. The way tickets work, you buy one for the day and you can see any bnad that is playing because there are multiple stages. There is obviously a package deal where the more tickets you buy, the cheaper.

My Darling Husband and I have been – it’s a blast by the way. We bought a weekend package instead of one specific day.

Next time we go, we plan on staying for the whole festival. Have fun for me 🙂 We can’t go this year because we’ll have about a three week old.

The one day pass just includes admission for the one day.  There is no re-entry.  It’s on the New Orleans fairgrounds, so you go into the space and mill about and find a concert that you want to see.  There will be three or four concerts going on simultaneously like other music festivals.  You buy your own food and drink once you get inside.

The main thing with the $650 package is that it seems to include re-entry privileges for the whole weekend and access to special area for ticket holders with seats, a special bathroom and a dedicated bar.  All of this is laid out on the website.
