Did you buy a new perfume for your wedding? I do love the thought of using it and remembering the day, as I have had that happen in the past (like a perfume I bought at B&BW was worn for a HS dance, and now I always think of that dance when I smell it).
I am debating, as I have not gone out and bought a new perfume for-ev-er!
I currently switch between VS Heavenly, Burberry Brit, D&G Light Blue, Jennifer Aniston, and a couple random ones I have sitting around.
Ideas of what I might like? I do usually smell perfuemes when I’m places like Sephora or Ulta… so I know names, just not sure about them all.

I am. 🙂 I’ve narrowed it down to a few, but I haven’t chosen yet (I have time!)
I’m the same way, I connect smells to memories. I wore Chance by Chanel for the first few times while I was on a ski vacation in Aspen. Now I think of Aspen and skiing every time I spray it (which is fine! It’s a great memory. But it now feels like a ‘winter’ scent to me. Wearing it in the summer is weird!
Edited: I’m not good at recommending any thing based on other scents (and I find the ones I’m ‘supposed’ to like based upon the ones I wear, I don’t always love.)
I wear: Burberry brit sheer (the pink one), Chance by Chanel (the eau tendre), Romance by Ralph Lauren.
I’m considering – J’Adore by Dior (there’s a softer smelling one…), Pleasures by Estee Lauder (the play version, I think), Daisy by Marc Jacobs… I’m sure there were others as well.

Definitely do a test run. Perfumes react differently depending on your body’s chemistry.

We have very similar tastes in perfume. My “go to” summer perfume is Light Blue also. My going out and regular go to perfume is J’Adore by Dior which I am considering wearing for my wedding. Giorgio Armani Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia is similar to Light Blue but may give you that something special you are looking for.

I always wanted Dior Miss Dior Cherie, but they don’t have it out anymore. I sitll have a sample size, but that kind of defeats the purpose. 🙂
Yeah, I may need to venture out again to Sephora/Ulta and just start smelling some, or spritzing and letting it sit for awhile to see what scents come out.
I like some of the philosophy ones too, but they have so many… hard to choose!

You can’t go wrong with J’Adore. My fiance still remembers our first date.

I cannot wait to do this! It’s such a brilliant idea.
I love Romance by Ralph Lauren. But I’ve also seen one called Something Blue by Oscar de la Renta. So cute.

I so wanted the Something Blue, but then I smelled it and did not like it at all 🙁
I’ll take Fiance shopping and maybe we will pick a wedding scent together.

I wore a perfume I always wore on my wedding day– something that I loved, and I knew my husband loves–
if you buy a new one, make sure you try it out with your body chemistry a couple times before the wedding.

DKNY be delicious is my favorite, and what I will use. It’s something that I wear all the time and will be reminded of my wedding day everytime I smell it!

What a brilliant idea! Going to have to start the hunt.

I’ll probably wear one of my usual perfumes. I always wear either White Diamonds, or Red Door by Elizabeth Arden. Both scents are really “me”, which is what I want for my wedding day! I also like that my partner will be reminded of it whenever he smells my perfume.
(ETA: Yep, I know I have “old lady” taste in perfume, but those suit me better than any newer ones!)

I ended up getting Philosphy “Falling in Love”. I agree though- they have so many and it was difficult to choose! I stood in Sephora for a while just smelling back and forth and then just got more and more confused the more I smelled lol I work in a fragrance free facility so I don’t typically wear fragrance so it will be nice to have something special to remind me of my wedding day.

I test a new perfume (or re-test one) every time I’m near a perfume counter.
I don’t notice a huge change in the way anything smells on me, but one of my best friends finds that every smell changes on her. So after her experience I always test and retest!
I spray one on each wrist and let it dry. Then I’m able to see what they smell like a few hours later (and find which ones seem to fade!)
By the time I buy a new fragrance I’ve worn it several times! 😛

My husband and I both did this! I wore Clean’s Shower Fresh scent and he wore Glenn Perri’s Unpredictable. They are both on the lighter, fresh side.
