Looks like Weddingbee’s gettin’ fancy! I’ve usually used the “Pin It” button in my browser’s toolbar when I’ve found something of interest to pin on WB, but try hovering over any picture posted on Weddingbee – a “Pin It” icon appears. Neato!
Just thought I’d share the cool discovery. Pinterest was so helpful during my wedding planning – if you don’t have an account yet, I *highly* suggest you get one. For real talks.

Ugh. I hate it. I refuse to get a Pintrest account.

That’s so cool! I only have internet on my phone though so I’m missing out 🙁

@loving_life: May I ask why?
In my case, considering how many pictures and links I was originally bookmarking, saving to my desktop or various folders on my computer, having the virtual, organized pinboards with direct links and pictures all visible in one place was so much easier. I really appreciated and made good use out of Pinterest for our wedding.
I also use it to save recipes, craft ideas, tutorials & tips, inspirational quotes, Christmas gift and decor ideas… it’s so customizeable and I’m really happy it exists.

@loving_life: Agreed. At the beginning of wedding planning, as I was pinning dresses, I found out the hard way that it’s almost impossible to keep your boards private. I wanted to share with just my sister, and Pinterest was not cooperating. I took down all of my pics and never went back. My account last about 15 minutes.
And I HATE disagreeing with lorelai when her wedding was so frippin’ gorgeous!!!

@lorelai: all I could think when I saw it was why didn’t it come out months ago!!!! Oh well. 🙂

I love it! So many bees post great ideas here, and I pin a lot of stuff from wb to my pinterest. I do have a separate pinterest account just for wedding stuff, though. I can keep it private and better organized that way.

Visualizing my wedding would be impossible without Pinterest! I don’t have enough words to describe how much I love it! Everyone needs to give it a shot!

Well its about time! Lol that is awesome though

Yeah I don’t really get the Pinterest hate? Facebook hate I get, if you’ve got a lot of drama-lovers on your friends list, but Pinterest?
That said, I have a Pinterest button on my browser already.

I so wished that Pinterest had been around when I was planning my Wedding!

This would have been so helpful a few months ago!

I love it and think it’s awesome!

@rurahrah: Haha – Thanks!
With regard to not being able to make it private, isn’t it sort of like Weddingbee in that way? It’s public, but you can create a new account with a false name if you want to keep your identity a secret.
If we’re ok with doing that for peronal posts on WB, wouldn’t pinning images be less of a big deal? (I think that’s the kind of thing you’re referring to, right discodance?)
I don’t mind having my Pinterest profile public. My husband knew to stay away from my dress board, and all my other pins are quite tame.
Glad other bees have recognized the beneficial aspects of Pinterest!
Ultimately, to each his/her own, of course.
