I have noticed in several forums including WB that since May 2014. the new Ring Bearer unenhanced Moissanite were made with whiter rough and cut to more diamond-like proportions (e.g. higher crown than before).
Several posters on TFL noticed that this new whiter rough was as white as the Forever Brilliant enhanced stones, so that means the new unenhanced rough went from an I-K color to possibly G-I! That’s very exciting news!
So Bees, if you purchased your unehanced Moissanite recently, would you please share pictures of your stone? What are your observations?

I got my 1ct round brilliant moissanite back in December. It’s unenhanced but looks pretty white to me (and I have perfect score on the xrite color test) so I’m not sure if this is an older one or one of the new ones cut from the whiter rough that you’re talking about.

Trilly: I love your ring! 😉

Slick: Danke! It was a toss up between that one and two other styles. I let my husband make the final decision and now I can’t imagine why I ever liked any other ring, haha!

Trilly: oh wow! That looks gorgeous! Maybe the new better rough started as far as December, we just haven’t noticed until now.
