Hello All! Well our wedding was planned for 9/2/2012 and we actually pushed it back to 7/7/2013 (school, work, money issues, etc.) We decided to change the date AFTER we sent out our save the date cards. We ended up sending change the date cards well before the wedding and although there were a few awkward questions (several people thought we were breaking up!) we survived.. So… now that planning is back on track heres my question: should I re-send save the date cards for the NEW date… also how should they be worded? Should I add in a cute, light-hearted way of saying “no surprises this time.. this date isnt changing!” I dont know if I should even bring up the fact that the date changed in the past..and just focus on the future as if it never happened.. am I overthinking this?

I would just not send anything else until invitations go out. They should already have the new date on their calendar from the change the dates. You don’t want to overwhelm your guests with mail, especially since you don’t have any new information to provide (I assume the change the dates had the new date, place and your website if you’re having one).
ETA: Wow just noticed I became a sugar bee like 30 posts ago.

@asscherlover: thanks for the input… i was thinking the same thing.. but one of my bridesmaids suggested that i re-send some because she actually forgot the new date herself! the new date is over a year past when the change the date cards were sent and I’m worried people may have seen the notice and then decided not to worry about it because it was so far off.. also the change the date cards werent something to necessarily hold on to (i.e. fancy magnet, pretty postcard, etc.) they were plainly printed on cardstock … again maybe im overthinking this! side note: congrats on your new bee status! 🙂

I’d send new Save-The-Date Cards. It’s a nice reminder but I’d keep the focus on the new date.
