Okay so one of the branches of our business is a side company that I have nothing to do with. After it came to light the the manager of that side company basically pilfered cash and left a long list of unpaid suppliers behind her and skipped out (even deleting her FB) we got this guy to try and sort through what she was busy with, cancel what needed to be cancelled etc. Background: he was already in the the company and his job load had diminished so we thought this would be an excellent opportunity to give him some meaningful graft.
Here is the thing, he is a creep. He is twitchy, and gaunt and sometimes he talks very loudly and excitedly. I’ll own up, my sister is a drug addict and a lot of what this guy does reminds me of her behaviour. He’ll like daze off and start playing his music really loudly and we’ll have to tell him to turn it down.
I don’t know what to do…but this is really bothering me. I write for my living and everything this guy does is distracting.
Guess I am just venting. But does anyone else work with creepy people?

Can’t say I’ve ever worked with/for someone I thought was using drugs! You don’t see that every day, do ya. Jeez. Have you talked to anyone else at the office about it? This seems like the sort of thing I would be powerless to resist gossiping about.
I dated a guy who relapsed into drug addiction after I went abroad in college, and it was always so annoying when he’d call me while high, because it would take an awkward amount of time for me to figure out that this conversation was a complete waste of my time because my boyfriend had no idea what the f*** he was talking about. At least drunk people slur so you can tell what you’re working with, haha. High people just make sense right up until they don’t anymore.

@iarebridezilla: He actually told me he smokes weed – and I don’t mind that if it doesn’t get in the way of work but it is SO obvious he is doing loads more. Look we work in the music industry so this isn’t that uncommon I guess – but it’s really annoying to me.
I am SUCH a gossip 🙂 I won’t resist! I have been told he was moved to our offices temporarily – but he is RIGHT OUTSIDE my office… So I get the brunt of his creepiness ALL OF THE TIME. Another problem: I am pretty straight-up and I know that one day I will say something to him… OEF!
