Put the first one up for sale and see how much of it’s cost you can recoup for the new dress. It will help with the guilt of buying the new one that you want.

@ohhlala: I’m a 2-dress bride and I know exactly how you feel ๐Ÿ™‚ That’s what prompted me to post on the boards for the first time, too – welcome!

Do you have room in your budget to get the new dress you love? Have you tried the Mori Lee on?

@ohhlala: You don’t need to have it to post it on-line. She won’t know until you sell it LOL

I’d say first off, try on the new one you like if you haven’t AND re-try on the old one so you can compare them more evenly. If you really love the new one more, and since it is less expensive, I’d say buy it and try to sell the other one if you can. ๐Ÿ™‚ Nothing to feel badly about, it happens.

Oh – and welcome to posting. ๐Ÿ™‚

@ohhlala: Ohhh! I LOVE your original dress ๐Ÿ™‚  But, if the other one has your heart all aflutter you should definitely go try it on…

A more budget-friendly option is to add a mermaid crinoline skirt to give you a bit more volume on the original. Here’s one I found on a google search.

I, too, had severe dress regret…and I followed my heart, which lead me to the true dress of my dreams!!  Seeing as how my experience was a positive one, and I finally found a dress that made me light up rather than frown, I knew it was a change worth making!!  It DOES feel scary at first, however, because you feel frivolous and ridiculous and people will try to talk you out of it…but as long as you approach it pragmatically, and explain to everyone why you are making the change, and show that it is a responsible decision that you’ve fully thought out, and will in the end make you feel STUNNING on your big day, then everyone will hop on board and understand!  They want YOU to be happy!

…and if they DON’T understand, well, it’s not their business or problem to solve anyway.  Sounds like you are bearing the financial burden, and YOU are the bride, so YOU should wear the dress of your dreams!!!

I say, GO FOR IT!  ๐Ÿ™‚

I LOVE your original dress! It’s way more unique than the other dress imo!!!
