Welcome Missy!  //  I don’t have much of a story.  Little sister told me that my bf asked her to help him pick out a ring around Thanksgiving and that’s about it.  I have no clue when and where it will happen either.  I was freaking out like a nut around Christmas and New Year’s but now that the holidays have passed, I don’t think it’ll happen soon.  Oh well!

Welcome to the Hive!  I started here as a waiting bee as well.  Hope you don’t have to wait too much longer!

Welcome! I am also a hyper on alert person. SO and I have been planning for a late summer/early fall ceremony…but no proposal yet!

Welcome to the hive!! I officially started waiting in August when we went ring shopping. Once I picked out my beauty he promised that’s the one I get, but the where, when and how was up to him. I am still patiently waiting. Over xmas he confessed he has the ring and that the proposal will be a surprise but it will be soon. I’m glad he’s filling me in, but it’s torture too because I just want it already!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Your SO sounds very sweet though. Sounds like he wants it to be a fantastic surprise!!

Happy waiting!!!

Welcome!  My guy refuses to give any timeline other than “when we move to the same city.” Since that is dependent on when he gets a new job, there is no defininte time horizon.  So I can relate to your impatience!  Hopefully he will ask you earlier in 2012 to surprise you!

Welcome to the waiting boards! I’m also going to be engaged “sometime” this year. But I think it will likely be this spring. My boyfriend has mentioned that it will happen “in the next six months.” But who knows! I DO know that he has purchased a ring though! It’s very tough to wait, especially when you know that it could happen anytime in the next year or the next few months. Who knows when or how! Personally, I can’t wait to see what ring he chose for me!

I’m with you girl! SO and I went to look at settings about a month and a half ago and I overheard him telling someone he’s planning a “warm weather”/ spring proposal. It’s killing me but I’m so excited! Enjoy the waiting period… we don’t have to completely stress about planning just yet. Looking forward to eventually seeing your proposal story! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ahh waiting, so frustrating. Apparently I should have a sparkly left hand in the next few months, but who knows?

Hopefully your man will get down on one knee soon. Best of luck!

@ashleighxcult:  welcome to the hive!  I’m in the same boat as you.  I don’t know if he has bought the ring yet but he did get a recent bonus at work so I’m hoping that will help move things along Wink

I was so frustrated and impatient over the last few months as we had our anniversary, my birthday, Christmas and New Year…. and nothing happened!  For now, I’m feeling calm but I do find the hive helps when I need to have the occasional rant!
