@MrsHoneyC:  You should wait until at least 8 days after you ovulated, but really you are more likely to have accurate results if you wait for 12-14 days.  I generally try to hold out until 10 days, but sometimes give in earlier.

I usually wait until ten days dpo. You can still get a negative that early but I think anything earlier is to early. I tested at 9 dpo and got a negative but got a positive at ten dpo. I also had wondfos so I wasn’t worried about wasting tests. Sending baby dust your way!

I was planning on waiting until 11 dpo the first month we TTC but I decided to POAS with another bee at 10 dpo and got a positive.

Another vote for 10 DPO – it worked for me :-)).  I did read some statistics on this somewhere but I can’t remember where.  I think 9 DPO is possible but once you hit 10 DPO it is more likely than not that you will get a positive if you are pregnant.

Nooo – it is too early to give up!  You could just have a fall-back pattern, it could be a random outlying temp, your temp on CD15 could have been an outlying temp which would mean you are still above the coverline.  Keep temping and look at the overall pattern.

Personally, I plan to POAS starting at 12DPO. I feel like that’s the point where it’s less likely to get a false negative.

@MrsHoneyC:  Remember that just because your chart shows him not being around for your fertile window until September doesn’t mean anything right now. You cycle can change SO much in that amount of time.. STAY POSITIVE!!!
