- Wedding: September 2014
Hi Bees! I was on WeddingBee a few years back when I was planning my wedding, and decided to re-join, as I’m TTC now, and could use the support. All of my close friends are either pregnant, or already have children, so it’s difficult talking to them when the conversation always turns to “it happened for me the first time we tried”. Today when I was at my doctor today and I talked with 3 different women who were in the same situation as me, and it just felt so refreshing having someone who genuinely understands that it doesn’t “just happen” for some people.
Anyways, my husband and I have been married for a little over two years, and have been “trying” for a year and a half. I say “trying” because the first 8 months-ish was NTNP. I’ve been charting for that time, just to get an idea of my AF, and have been using OPKs for the past 6 months, with no avail. Finally, today, I went to my OBGYN for an exam; he said it’s very apparent that I am, in fact, ovulating, evidenced by my charts (which have a very clear temp. shift), and positive OPKs with the temp. shift. Today he ran bloodwork to check a number of things, as well as a trans-vag ultrasound. The OCD in me is refreshing my browser every few minutes waiting for the results to be posted! Additionally, my husband is going for “the test” next week, so I’m hoping that will lead to some answers. However, I don’t know what I’m hoping for…I feel like there’s definitely something wrong, and I’m anticipating the worst. On the bright side, it’s early in the process for us, so I’m hopeful that, in the very least, that we will get some answers.
