Okay so I totally broke our vacuum… I say I broke it mainly because my hair has somehow managed to get sucked into every crevice inside the vacuum – and my fiance has only touched the vacuum once. Boo… so I need a new one. Any suggestions? We only have a small 1-bedroom apartment so we don’t need a heavy-duty one… I’m hoping it will last more than a year though… Thanks!

I’ve had mine for 3 years – it has vacuumed up tons of pet hair and is still going strong. Plus it’s cheap!

I really like my Eureka upright vacuum. It’s affordable, too.
Someday, I want to get a Dyson, though. Or one of those robot vacuums.

Oh I wish I could afford a dyson! Especially with the ‘no loss of suction’ claim! Maybe when we buy a house it’ll go on our house-warming registry… must save for the wedding though…*sigh*

my husband just bought us a new vacuum… and i love it! it’s an oreck. it’s quiet, light, and most importantly pink! it’s pretty expensive ($400ish i think), but worth it for us b/c it should last a really long time and we have a dog that sheds.

We only have a 585 sf apartment and I would be devastated without my dyson dc-24. It makes me excited to vacuum.

Love my Miele canister. They’re pricey though.

I second rachelss on the hoover upright. I have a very similar model, the anniversary edition (~$125). It’s a great vaccuum!

I don’t really want to spend over $100… even at $50 one would suffice. But I’m worried about the ‘you get what you pay for’ motto. Am I the only one who sheds this much??
