@Creiddylad:  I would not say crappy exactly, but we are looking to stay home this year as I can go into labor any second…. so we have just been laying around the house all day.

Darling Husband and I are also going to work a graveyard shift.  I’m a 911 call taker and he’s a cop so it’s likely to be a busy/sad evening.  People get so stupid on NYE.

It is the most disgusting weather day ever here in Hosuton. Gray overcast skys since early morning with intermittent thunderstorms. When it’s not storming, it doing that soft drizzly rain thing that gets people sick. Ughhh!

Despite the weather, Darling Husband and I were supposed to go to a friend’s house and have board game night with about 10 other people. Unfortunately, so many people backed out so it’s cancelled. Debating at this point to go have dinner out or just stay home. =/

I’ve been having a depressing and lonely week. My SO went to Vegas on Christmas night to accompany an elderly relative. Since he’s been gone I’ve been feeling really isolated and most of my friends are also out of town, so I’ve been stuck in the house. My SO was supposed to get back from Vegas this morning, but his flight got bumped and now he doesn’t get back until early this evening.

The one thing I’ve been looking forward to is the NYE party that one of our friends who lives out of town comes back this time of year to host. Last night the car battery light came on and it’s making weird sounds so I can’t risk driving it. It’s looking like we won’t be able to go to the party.

I’m feeling really sad.

mine will suck too. SO decided to start an argument this a.m. bc I refused to spend 2 hrs driving to spend NYE with his mother, her hippie stoner friends and his gramps. We just saw them on xmas and I hate crashing on their couch. Plus, potheads annoy me. Anyway, not impressed that he started a fight over it since we agreed last night we’ll visit the fam this weekend.

Ha I’m so with you! SO has been sick all this week and doesn’t feel like going out. Last year we were supposed to go with his friend and her husband but her husband couldn’t go so she was like the third wheel, except then I felt like a third wheel….SO didn’t want her to feel left out. I wanted to dance with SO to the jazzy music but he wouldn’t because he didn’t want her to feel left out, which I understand, but I bought a dress last year to wear but then didn’t wear because she wasn’t getting really dressed up. & now he doesn’t want to go out this year so I can’t wear said dress.

@Creiddylad:  I am also feeling the waiting blues. I’m so excited for all the bees on here getting engaged but I want that too! I honestly don’t see it coming for another year or more either.
