We always stay home.  We pull the matress into the living room, light a fire, make a great dinner, and stay in bed all night watching movies.

We have a group of friends we do stuff with (depending on what they do).  Since we want to buy a house next year we’d like to really do it up since I’m sure next year we wont be able to afford as much.

If we go with our friends were going to go to this huge place in olde city with an open bar/food/dj/etc for a flat rate.  If we don’t go out with them a restaurant not too far from it that does murder mystery dinner theater and its a block from the water so fireworks =)

We have no idea. It’s our first New Years in London and we don’t really have any friends here yet.

I really want to do something a little swanky so I can wear my wedding shoes again!

In previous years, we’d go out with our friends and their SO’s. Usually to an all inclusive bar type place.

I have a feeling that if we don’t plan in advance, this year might be a little sad.

@KatNYC2011:  I’ve never been to London, but if I lived there I’d consider taking the chunnell to Paris and watching fireworks over the eiffel tower.

@MASPA: We may be going to Paris this weekend just for a night. I’m pretty sure trying to go at New Years would be SUPER expensive.

They do have fireworks all along the Thames here. So maybe we’ll just bundle up and go down along the riverside to watch. I think the best show is right by Big Ben and the London Eye.

@MASPA: Haha very true! Hopefully things go ok at work for Darling Husband so we can book the trip. His schedule can be unpredictable so fingers crossed for a free weekend!

We spent last New Years in Paris and it was amazing. I think we’ll be low key and stay home with a bottle of my favorite champagne this time. When I used to live near my friends, we’d do NYE bowling into midnight. 🙂

We’ll get sushi from our favorite place and watch movies all night on the couch. Perfect night 🙂

Ugh NYE plans always stress me out! Last year we did an open bar thing with a bunch of friends and it was a lot of fun but I really just want to be low key this year. Our friends are planning on doing a party bus and going bar hopping but Darling Husband and I arent interested. I think we might just have a few people over and do a big dinner with drinks.

Fiance and I stay at home.  NYE is probably one of the most dangerous times to be out and about because of the drinking and driving.  We prefer to stay put which is something I was always taught growing up if I did go out.

ETA: When I was a child growing up – my brothers, cousins, aunts, and grandparents would get together and pig out while playing board games.  One of my favorite times ever.

@PitBulLover: we did the same thing last year, and I was so drunk, I wandered off and didn’t even get to kiss my husband at midnight! I think we are just gonna do something low key at home this year

@Rouquine: my parents would get us the variety pack of sausages, cheese, and mustard and we would get sparking wine and hang out and do the same things on New years when we were younger! It was always so much fun 🙂

@tksjewelry: Ummm I think I am stealing your idea. That sounds amazing. Better than going out!
