For those of you that are planning a wedding in NYC or has already gotten married there, share your positive experiences on the vendors you chose for:
photography, ceremony & reception location, caterers, bridal salon, hair/makeup, favors, invitations, chair covers and decor, flowers, & more!
If you can, please share the vendor names/websites, I am looking into branching out into the NYC area and would like to be able to work with the best chosen by all of you! 🙂 I’ve already started working with some awesome vendors, but the city is so big, I’d like to know who made your wedding day a special one! Thank you so much for your help! 🙂

You should join the wedding forums on Wedding Wire and the area specific groups on Facebook. You’ll meet plenty of vendors there. If you want to branch out into the NYC market, don’t bypass Jersey! 🙂

Having a really difficult time finding a Saturday night venue for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception for 100 guests in sept/oct without spending upwards of $30K.
We are looking in Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan. Willing to consider Hoboken/JC/Weehawken, but definitely not LI
Any suggestions would be great!

Hey NYC Bees! I just posted a recap of my wedding on the Upper East Side:
Glittering NYC DIY Wedding
Vendor recommendations (106 people, May 2014, Saturday night wedding, approx. 24k):
Reception: 202 East 77th Street (202east.com) Beautiful space that can accomodate 120 for dinner and dancing, very reasonable, and includes staff, rentals and an insanely affordable bar package.
Make Up Artist: Kerry-Lou Brehm (kerry-lou.com/) She does really beautiful work, and understood my vision, which was not your typical “natural bride”
Photographer: Samantha Lauren Photographie (samanthalaurenphotographie.com) Super sweet and lovely to work with. Got every shot I wanted, and more.
Day of Coordinator & Floral Design: Alexandra Townsend (thededicatednewyorker.com) She made my wedding perfect, and stress free day-of. I don’t know what I would have done without her.
Catering: Bassett Catering in Sheepshead Bay (http://www.bassettcaterers.com/) They were super affordable, and the food was delicious. I was worried it wouldn’t look high end, but I was amazed at the quality. We paid for just the food, and used the rentals from the venue, so it looked a lot better.

- Wedding: March 2015 - City Winery New York, NY
Kwhoa: Your wedding looks fantastic! Mine is in Soho in March. The weather could be anything, but I’m guessing it will be cold. I noticed you provided pashminas for your guests. Can you tell me where you ordered them from?
LAB: Congrats! I got our pashminas from a street vendor! They have practically every color. I wanted 24 coral, and he only had ten the first day, so I kept going back. He gave me 24 for $100. Since they’re $5 each normally, I thought that was fair. It was pouring rain our wedding day, so every single one was taken. People also used them to dress up! Good luck!
