Well bees, after four plus years, he finally popped the question in Central Park in New York. I can’t say it truely came as a suprise since we picked went ring shopping almost two years ago and picked out a setting together, but I am so happy to be engaged and to start planning our wedding.
A little about us: I am a 29 year old nurse, he is a 33 year old police officer and we have been together for over four years. Our relationship has withstood nursing school and the purchase and remodeling of our first house. We have two adorable (and at times frustating) boston terrier fur babies and we can’t wait to begin a family.
And now the ring pictures ( Unfortunately I have no photos of the proposal itself):

@BrooklynWife: He t. old me afterwards, that he had planned on proposing in Rockafeller Center, but when we walked into the center, another guy proposed and my fiance changed his mind.
So the following day, I wanted to go to central park. We walked around the park for miles, little did I know he was trying to find a place to propose. In the distance he saw a castle looking building and suggested we walk to it.
When we got to the castle (Belvedere’s castle) he said he wanted to go up to the top. Another couple were also up in the castle, so he suggested we go to the top level. When we went up there they followed so he went back to the lower level. (Again later he told me he was nervous and wanted for us to have a private moment.) So at that point he pulled me close and asked me if I would marry him. He wasn’t on one knee and I saw no ring in sight, so I asked “Seriously?” He pulled the ring out of his pocket and said “Yes, seriously.” At that point, my mouth dropped open and I said “Of course,” and gave him a kiss.
I then said, without thinking, but you didn’t get on one knee! He then dropped to his knee and asked me again.
Our proposal was not perfect, but very sweet and very us.
