Very interesting. Didn’t read the entire thing-I’ll admit that straight off but from my skimming it seemed pretty on point. I’m currently studying marriage and family therapy and it’s true that healthy marriages don’t run on love alone. All relationships that last do so because of commitment (for better or for worse). Also, I believe that couples should also encourage each other to be healthier, stronger, kinder and more forgiving people. That’s why I think when someone marries a person who has an unhealthy lifestyle and habits (infidelity, bigotry, manipulation, dependency); their marriage won’t be a healthy one if it lasts. Good for you and your FI!
