My fiance sent me this article yesterday. I think it describes us very well (e.g. making a good team, complementing each other, etc.) I hope that these researchers are right about what makes a successful marriage!
I just wanted to see what others thought about “sustainable love”
Here’s the article: The Happy Marriage Is the ‘Me’ Marriage

Very interesting. Didn’t read the entire thing-I’ll admit that straight off but from my skimming it seemed pretty on point. I’m currently studying marriage and family therapy and it’s true that healthy marriages don’t run on love alone. All relationships that last do so because of commitment (for better or for worse). Also, I believe that couples should also encourage each other to be healthier, stronger, kinder and more forgiving people. That’s why I think when someone marries a person who has an unhealthy lifestyle and habits (infidelity, bigotry, manipulation, dependency); their marriage won’t be a healthy one if it lasts. Good for you and your FI!

Did any of you take the quiz that was associated with it? Darling Husband and I did and it was interesting. We didn’t score most questions the same, but in the end we ended up with the same score. Do we get bonus points for that? heh
