    Welcome to the Hive!

I would go with the short dresses, as long as they are long enough not to have a Marilyn moment on the beach with the breezes.

Welcome!! I vote for short as well. Only because it’ll be on the beach, and warm..

I think it might depend on your bridal party. When I was in my friend’s August wedding in South Carolina, I still bought a long dress (it was made of this really lightweight gauzy material, so I didn’t feel hot) because I *hate* my legs and wouldn’t feel comfortable being in a short skirt in front of people. If they’ve all got great legs, def short dresses but if you have any ladies who might feel uncomfortable maybe give them an option for tea-length at least?

I guess it really depends on the time of day and formality. If it’s a daytime or casual relaxed event, I’d say short. But for an evening formal semi-formal wedding I’d go with long. There are a lot of great long dresses that feel very comfy and airy and would look great at a beach wedding! If you don’t mind either way, you could show them a few options and have them choose. I did, and they all went for the long dress even though the wedding and reception are outdoors.
