Hi girls, so I don’t know how to word this without sounding like a total ditz lol…ok, so I know when you hire vendors they go to your venue on your wedding day to set up. What about when you have DIY stuff? Do you have someone bring it to the venue that day before the wedding or the day before and the venue staff sets it up? Do they charge extra?
What have been your experiences? Half my wedding is DIY and the rest is vendor-supplied. I hope I got my question across right lol. I know I should probably just call my venue but figured I’d throw it out to you gals first.

It depends on your venue. Mine had a storage room that I was able to bring stuff up the night of the rehearsal (ceremony/reception at the same place), but I also had all DIY flowers, which a family member brought the day of the wedding.
Keep in mind that even hired vendors may not bring/set up. I rented linens and they wanted soooo much money to do set up/take down that I opted just to pick them up myself and have my family do set up and take down.

Did you rent the linens outside of the venue? I know my venue offers upgrades for chairs, etc…but it is so much $$. I would rather rent outside and have someone set it up/take down too.

“ditz” maybe…but if you are so am i…lol this is a great question and I have kinda wondered the same thing.
