Hi all,

Longtime lurker, first time poster.  I woke up today and realized my wedding is in about 8 months and I feel like I’m falling behind schedule on planning and executing.  My wedding is hugely DIY and everything takes longer than it should.  ๐Ÿ˜‰

Anyway, I love so many of the clever DIY ideas I’ve seen here that I figured I should register if only to express my thanks.

Cheers,

Seven

My name is Frank I run an online electronics business.  My girlfriend told me when I first started dating her that we would never get married.  It’s been two years and  I still love her. Life is good. [self promotion removed]

I have been lurking the site for a couple weeks now and finally decided to register and try posting! My name is Shasta, I am 24 years old, and I currently live in Washington state. I got engaged on October 26, 2011 to my best friend and the love of my life, but our wedding isn’t for a few years due to college and other important things. Most of my wedding planning is simply for fun and to cheer me up a little during times when I’m down. Until now I have never cared one bit about a wedding, so I’m rather surprised at how into it I am getting. The good thing is that my fiance is thrilled over my choice of a beach wedding, and I’m hoping he’ll like the rest I’m planning! I’ve really enjoyed reading a lot of posts on here and most everyone here seems so nice and helpful. I’m really looking forward to getting to know everyone! <3

Hi all! My name is Jolene and I have found this site invaluable in terms of advice and inspiration. So I thought it was time to join! I got engaged August 2010 so we’ve had quite a long engagement. Wedding is in 3 months! I’m freaking myself out because there suddenly seems like a million things I haven’t done or thought of! I have a tendancy to get super obsessed, and I also procrastinate a lot because I seem to love everything and can’t make a decision!

Anyways, can’t wait to share the rest of my wedding journey (and beyond) with you all! Smile

Hi! first time poster here although I’ve been looking through this very useful site for a few months looking for advice and inspiration when I get confused by the wedding. I’m marrying my ‘college sweetheart’, we’ve been together for nearly 9 years and time is rushing along quite fast towards it now. I’m a bit mental about preparations though so everything is well in hand (I hope!)

Been stalking for the past month, but I now need people to share my wedding ideas and goodness with!  My fiance and I met about a year ago, when his mom taught at one school I attended in the mornings, and he attended (and now works) at the other school where I take courses in the afternoon.  His mom had been telling me to meet him for a while, and I eventually saw him in the commons area and introduced myself with a “Hi, your mom told me to meet you”.  We started dating in May, and on January 2nd of this year he popped the question!

However, we are two very broke college students, so planning this wedding is going to be a challenge and a project (which I absolutely love!).  My current estimated budget is roughly $1,500 and my guest list has already topped 125 people!  However, my family is the master of doing big things on a tiny bankroll, so I am ready to start!  I have just under 6 months to plan, coordinate, and execute the wedding of my dreams to the love of my life!

Hi everyone, I’m new also. My name is Lyndsey and my fianceé and I are getting married this summer. We’ve got a lot done for the wedding but still some things to go. Since I’m using David’s Bridal Guava, some things are hard to find. That’s how I found this board.

Hey everyone…technically I’m a newbee however, I have been on this site a lot since I got engaged January 4, 2011 but I never had anything to post. My wedding is March 11, 2012 so I’m a little late to the game. I am working out details at this point so I’m hoping to get a lot of ideas and input in the next month.

Hello all! I’ve been lurking on these forums since I first discovered a post from deathbydesign about moissanite gems and jewelry. I’ve had a lot of fun reading everyone’s proposal stories and it’s honestly a great way to pass the time. I’m still in college studying for my undergraduate degree and I’m neither married nor engaged. I’ve been dating my boyfriend for nearly five years now and although marriage has come up a lot recently, a big part of me doesn’t really believe it will happen. o.o;

Hi everyone, I discovered this site by Pinterest posts, and I really haven’t had a chance to look much. I got engaged on October 7, 2011 to the most amazing man I have ever met. We finally decided on a date last night, actually – September 14, 2013.  We want to do an outdoor wedding in Pittsburgh, and hopefully find a venue that we can do the ceremony/reception together. I’m excited to start browsing and getting some good DIY ideas since we will definitely have a budget.  ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi All!! My name is Charla, I’m 24, and I’m from Wisconsin. 2012 is definitely the year of Weddings!

I would count myself as a newbie, too… though, I’ve done random google searches for wedding related items and for some reason, I’m always directed here, to Wedding Bee! SO – I finally signed up and am so grateful for it!

My Fiance and I dated for over 6.5 years before he popped the question. 6.5 years sounds long – however, we are High School Sweethearts – began dating when we were 16! So – by the time we tie the knot, we would be together for 8 years… and I fall in love every single day!

I’m planning for a fall wedding this year – and the journey so far has been a rollercoaster, but it’d be weird if wedding planning went smooth, right?! But, thanks to this site (SERIOUSLY) things have been going much more smooth!

I look forward to posting, replying, and just getting to know some of you!

Hi!

I’m a newbee!

I’ve been engaged for almost a year now, but am just now getting to start planning our wedding. Life, in the form of a job loss for me the week after getting back home from the proposal vacation, a move in with his parents, a very sick mother (recovered, thank goodness) and now a job loss for him, has kinda gotten in the way of our wedding. But we have a date and are putting the deposit down on a venue tomorrow.

I met my honey online, and he proposed on the two-year anniversary of our first date. It was a very sweet proposal, and I can’t wait to be married to him.

I’ll be 39 in a few days and he turned 36 last year. This is a first marriage for both of us, so it feels a little like we’re late bloomers.

I guess that’s enough of an introduction….

Thanks!
