Hi bees! 🙂 My Fiance and I are getting married at the courthouse in November and I’m completely lost with what I should wear. I am a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl and putting together an outfit that is nicer than that is beyond me. I’ve found a dress and cardigan I like and I’m wondering if it looks okay together.
This dress in white:
And this cardigan in sunblaze:
Edit! I like this cardigan too! Not sure which color yet…

Opinions on which cardigan would look best?
If those do look good together, what shoes?! See, I told you I’m terrible at this! Would a pair of Converse look okay? I know they’re not everyone’s taste but they are so me! I wear a pair almost everyday and I’d love to wear some with “Mrs. R” on them the day of…but not if it’s going to look absolutely ridiculous together!

I think it looks super cute!
If you like the converse, then you should wear them. It’s your dad, wear what will make you feel good 🙂

@Lyndzo: Thank you! 🙂 Dressing myself is the most stressful part for me, haha.

@soon2bmrsr: I think it sounds like a great outfit! I really like the dress – are you ordering it in white? I’d definite recommend going for a fun color cardigan to go with it too 🙂

I like the dress but don’t like the cardigans…. they’re too casual looking.
I would get a bolero….

@sarahbabs: Yes, the dress will be white. That’s why I’m wanting a pop of color with a cardigan!
@happyface: I…don’t even know what a bolero is. Haha. I will Google. But we are going for more of a casual feel. We are far from dressy and I want to be comfortable and feel like myself still. Thank you though, I’m going to go look at what a bolero is right now!

@soon2bmrsr: going for more of a casual feel.
a bolero won’t do! It’s not really casual…..
Okay, the 1st sweater is okay, don’t like the 2nd one…..

@happyface: I googled and I agree about the bolero. They’re nice, but too dressy for me. Thank you!

@soon2bmrsr: What a pretty dress, it will be perfect for your wedding. You will look beautiful!
I prefer the first cardi, it’s a little dressier & more feminine which will be such a cute contrast to the converse which I totally say you should wear, especially since it sounds like they are your trademark.
What will weather be like in your neck of the woods? I only wish I could dress like that in November, lol
Congrats & good-luck!

I think that although you might wear converse everyday, you said you also wear jeans everyday and you’re not doing that at your wedding, so you should wear different shoes.
If you’re going to wear something over your dress, I would pick a bolero, shrug, or cropped cardigan that works with the waistline of the dress. A long cardigan will cover it.

@MaggieF: Thank you. 🙂 It should be around the high 50’s low 60’s, which is pretty chill for me, but I’ll manage!
@Zusie: I really like the second link you posted, thank you! As for shoes, flats? I don’t wear heels ever.

- Wedding: November 2011 - Florida Aquarium
Darling Husband and I got legal at the Clerk of the Court– we both definitely had on jeans. haha we had a formal wedding after, but you can totally wear whatever you like! The dress is super cute… maybe with white converse that you can add “Mrs. R” to.

Oooh, customizing your converse could be really cute, and every time you wear your new Chucks you’ll remember your wedding day! 🙂

@Mrs. Gremmlin: Sometimes I feel like I’d rather wear jeans! Lol. But we’re not having a formal wedding after this. This is it. But I’m going to dress a little better.
@Valdrine: Yes! I really want to wear Converse with “Mrs. R______” on them. I think I’m going to order the dress and cardigan and try it on with my old Converse to see how it looks. I may change the whole outfit just to wear the Converse if I have too! Haha.

@soon2bmrsr-How about something like this?
Adds a bit of “sparkle” to your outfit, 🙂
I believe they come in the regular style too (still with glitter).
