Hello everyone, im just new on here but loving browsing through all the ideas!
Im looking for some advice on table names. Originally we had picked precious jewels and stones, top table would be diamond and we would have ruby, sapphire etc… we attended a friends wedding a few months ago and this is what their table names were 🙁 so now im pretty stuck on what to do.
Our theme is love hearts and our colours are Royal blue and silver. We thought about doing the quotes from the love heart sweets but were not keen on this idea as its pretty popular.
Personally I love the idea of the top table being named Royal Blue and the other tables (8 total) having diff colours of blue, navy, sky etc and a matching ribbon decorating the table name. A few people have said this a bit tacky, what do you lovely brides think?
I also like the idea of using our fav sweets, jelly babies, haribo, jelly beans, m&ms etc and having a small bowl of these on the tables but not sure?
any advice is greatly appreciated! (the wedding is in April, 8 weeks to go 😀 )

@bluebaby1: I like the different shades of blue idea – but then, blue is my favorite color!! LOL Cerulean, periwinkle, aqua(marine), ultramarine, midnight, baby blue…. !!

I don’t know whether this would work for your home but Darling Husband and I used hills and fells for our table names, the top table was the most famous hill in the valley which overlooks 4 fells. (it’ll be something to look back on when we’re old how we sat on _______hill and had our wedding breakfast)
We went through so many options to come up with it. You could do special places, landmarks, places you’ve been or would like to go…I like the colour and crystal ideas too!

Like the PP i think places special to you and your Fiance are a great idea!! You can have little stories at the table about what each place means for the both of you. If you dont think this is too cheesy, you could even have table names, first date, first kiss, I love you, engagement, and other milestones of your relationship as table names witht the same descriptions/story telling them. If you theme is love/hearts, your love story is easily the fits into your themes… and is the cutest way to get your guests caught up on your love journey!!

@bluebaby1: When starting to read your post, I thought what we could do. Our colors will be olive green and light pink / blush, so I thought “maybe we could do the different shades of our colors”. Then I read that you had the same idea. How could that possibly be perceived as tacky?

I personally think the different shades of blue is a good idea, even if you dont prominently name them. Just make sure the shades and a floor plan is used to show where each table is..
