First off…

CONGRATULATIONS on your Engagement !!

(lol, mandatory ring-porn needed… let us see your “sparkler”)

I see that you jumped right into Wedding Planning mode…

As for Cake Toppers…

Cute cake topper, I haven’t seen that particular one before.  Where did you find it?

Mr TTR is a HUGE Hockey Nut (my nickname for him is Mr Hockey).  I’m thinking of getting this cake topper for our Pre-Wedding Party that I know some friends are thinking of throwing for us (lol, a Canadian version of a Grooms Cake)

I will paint the Helmet & Gloves to match his team colours.  I found these on WeddingStar.com  they have a ton of Cake Toppers, and many come mix-and-match which is nice (which is good, because I’m not 100% sold on the “Bride is Your Biggest Fan” option… might just go with something less sporty for her… if I opt for a Bride on this particular cake at all)

We are Eloping to a Destination Wedding (just the 2 of us taking our vows alone together on a beach in the US South over Christmas).  Our Back-Home Reception afterwards will have a more traditonal Wedding Cake, albeit this time with another cute Cake Topper from WeddingStar as well.

Lol, Planning is a lot of fun

Why not do a hockey theme groom cake. Maybe an ice rink with hockey figures on it all edible

I personally hate all those “dragging” cake toppers… I know they’re a joke and I wouldn’t think less of anyone else for using them if it gave them a giggle but it rubs me the wrong way and I would never let one within ten miles of my wedding! Same thing goes for the “game over” t-shirts and similar things… I like the second set posted though!
