Welcome to Weddingbee!  What is the significance in FI’s family?  Have you talked to them about wanting to get married on that date?

NYE weddings are so cool! I think youll probably find that things are going to be more expensive because really who wants to work on NYE? BUT that said, it will give your guests (and more importantly you) an everlasting NYE memory! Also, NYE is one of those days that everyone has to have plans for so if you are getting married that night all your guests wont have to worry about figuring out what to do….they will already be attending a party! Awesome, congratulations! What part of VA are you from?

Welcome to Weddingbee! I think NYE is an amazing date! I was going to change our date to NYE, but one of our vendors wasn’t available, so we changed it to my b-day instead! If you want a NYE wedding, go for it!!

Welcome! A NYE wedding would be super romantic and fun! And, even better if it has significance in your FI’s family!

welcome to wedding bee!

for the NYE wedding remember a few things – start saving now because NYE weddings are uber expensive. And start planning now as well since things get booked up in DC years in advance!

send out your save the dates at least 6 months before if not earlier so people know and dont make plans!

good luck – and lemme know if you need tips on things in the area 🙂

Welcome! What a fun date. There is so much you can do but also be sure to plan early – venues books up VERY fast. Also let your guests know early too (consider sending your save the dates in the summer, so they don’t make other NYE plans.

Welcome to weddingbee!  I agree that you should send out save the dates early since it’s a holiday and people will need to book rooms during a busy time.
