@AliBeeG:  Thanks!  The center stone is 1.5 carats, my ring size is 7.5 for reference.  It is an Asha, not a Moissanite, which I ordered from ashadiamonds.com (same owners as moissaniteco.com).  I went back and forth between the two and ordered loose stones of each.  I felt like the moissanite was too “buttery” for me in certain lights, so I went with the Asha even though I know I will probably have to replace it at some point.  I got the wedding set which is wed514 on Asha and wed409 on MoCo (engagement ring only is eng731 on both Asha and MoCo).  While I think the proportion between the center stone and the halo stones is perfect, it is rather large.  I picked it out myself and love it (I get distracted by it all day long!), but it definitely gets a lot of attention, which I was not prepared for.  I wish that I had opted for something smaller right now, but maybe the “shrinkage” that everyone talks about will set in soon!  Let me know if you have any other questions, I would be happy to answer them!

@taylorkirby:  Holy @!$# that is gorgeous. As you’ll see by my ring I usually prefer simpler looks but then there’s a whole different realm of really FANTASTIC intricate rings like yours that make my heart drop into my stomach. Congratulations on owning that beauty and of course on your engagement. πŸ™‚

I’ve been engaged for 2.5 weeks. I picked out my ring, but it’s from Moissanite Co so I’d only seen it online, and only seen it in the platinum color for that matter as they don’t have a preview image for rose gold. It is model #sol387, in the 7 mm, 1.25 carat equivalent size. The ring is a size 5.25, and I’m finding it’s slightly big but I’m going to wait and see how it feels in warmer months.

I am currently waiting for a video to upload of it… cause SPARKLES.

Sorry my pictures are so large, but here’s my set! FH proposed with a solitaire, then told me to go to the jeweler to pick out the setting I wanted and I absolutely fell in love with this one.. Sparkles like crazy and I get tons of compliments on it, I also love that I’ve never seen one exactly like it before πŸ˜‰
