My boy proposed yesterday with a lovely filigree yellow gold solitaire. He designed every detail of the setting himself with a local jeweler. The diamond belonged to his mother, who passed away when he was a teenager. I feel so honored to be giving this stone a new life.
I never thought I’d be wearing yellow gold (I don’t usually), and I thought I liked more contemporary, unusual settings… but when he put this on my finger, it all changed. It is just perfect, and so timeless!
Anyone else rockin’ the classic yellow? Show off your rings here!!

Your ring is gorgeous!! What is this beautiful center stone!?

Thank you thank you!
It’s a sapphire. Technically a padparadasha sapphire, but I just call it a sapphire 🙂 I just wanted something pink but didn’t want to shell out 25k for a pink diamond hahah. And it’s my birthstone so it’s even more special to me.

Love yellow gold! It’s all I wear. My diamond was also a family stone, mine came from my mother.

I love my yellow gold! I barely wear white metals at all

This is my fiancée’s ring. I had gold and diamonds from rings of my mother’s and grandmother’s, as well as a couple of odd earings from other family members to make up the rest of the gold. I worked with a local jeweler to design the ring she’s been describing to me since shortly after we met. The sapphire is new.

That is one of the prettiest shades of pink I have ever seen! I love the idea of pink sapphires, but I feel like they usually (? maybe just the ones I see lol) are too deep of a pink. I am absolutely in love with the barely pink or peachy pink colors 🙂
