I have a platinum half eternity band and a 0.5ct traditional 18k white gold solitaire. I don’t take off my rings AT ALL. Not when sleeping or showering or anything. I don’t swim so I’m not sure about the chlorine in pool. I have no issue with doing anything in daily life…and I don’t want to leave them around in case they get lost or I forget to wear them back on lol. They look fine. Probably will need cleaning once a while but that’s ok by me.

No No and No . I am too worried I will ruin it so I take it off everytime I do the above.

My ring stays on all the time.

I had a ring I wore everyday for over 4 years, 9ct white gold, was rather cheap ring with a gap on the inside?so wasn’t too strong and bent up quite lot.

My new ring is a solitaire  with a full band (no dips or cut out bits inside) and I always plan to keep this one for everything. that is why I chose a lower setting and a nice comfortable band.

I wear mine through all of that. Haven’t taken it off since I got engaged last June. It was really important to me when we were looking to find something that fit my daily life (I’m pretty tough on jewelry and watches) and it’s held up the past year fabulously.

For what it’s worth, my mom has a yellow gold wedding ring and RHR that I have no memory of her ever taking off… I know she sleeps in them, cooks in them, goes to the gym in them, I don’t see her in the shower, but she’s said she wears them there to, as well as washing dishes. They look fine and I’ve never heard her have any problems with them.

I only take it off if I am doing my hair, or using weights with the metal cross pattern. Other then that I try to keep it on, because I don’t want to lose it! My ering is 14ct yellow gold.

I take mine off when I go to bed so I dont scratch Fiance, when I shower so it doesn’t get caught in my hair, while I do dishes/clean the kitchen, while I do yard work or anything like that, and while I’m getting ready – my prongs get caught in my hair if I wear it while doing my hair!

sleeping, sometimes. i shower right before bed and i don’t wear it when i shower, so sometimes it stays off, sometimes i put it back on.

dishes- i usually wear gloves, so it stays on, but if i don’t wear gloves i don’t wear my ring either.

i usually take it off when i apply lotion, makup, hair product, basically anything that could get messy.

I am only newly engaged, but I wear my ring through everything. Mainly because the size is such that it takes me a full minute to drag it past my knuckle it’s on that snug! But then I never have to worry about losing it or it falling off. If I use hair sparays/ moisturisers I wash just wash my hands with water and liquid soap. I use washing up gloves for kitchen stuff.

I think it’s a british thing. I do not know a single woman that takes off their engagement ring on a daily basis.

Nope. I wear my ring all the time. I only take it off if I’m doing something especially messy in the kitchen, like kneading dough. I’m much less likely to lose my ring if I never take it off. Before coming on the boards I didn’t even realize there were women who did take their rings off every day.

I take them off when I’m home because I’m afraid I will either loose or damage my ring. I know it doesn’t get damaged easily but I just can’t trust myself.

I wear my ring for everything except applying lotion to my hands. I never take it off.

I used to take mine off to sleep.. now that it’s been resized I hardly ever do (but still have a ring dish next to my bed)

I always take it off for dishes, prepping raw meats/cook prep that involves a lot of mixing with hands etc, and showering. Haven’t gone swimming but I’d take it off then too.
