You’ve got tons of time! I planned my wedding in 5 months, and most of my social circle has done it in less than a year.

Look up some wedding to-do lists for your time frame and give yourself the freedom to not think too far ahead.

Plenty, probably most actually, plan weddings in under a year.  The biggest thing is that some venues and vendors get booked up a year + in advance, but if you’re flexible , you’ll be fine.

You’re fine bee...I was engaged in late August and our wedding is May 27, 2016. The only thing we have “officially” booked is the church….but we just need to to sign the wedding planner, photographer, venue/reception contracts and I’ll buy my dress next week (I’ve been shopping to a few places, finally went back to first place & am waiting for my paycheck next week).

Think of this way: The more time you have, the more stress and choices/decision you have because you have more time.

Some people plan weddings in 3 months(certain relgisions)…I know my gf planned hers in 2 months but you’d thought it’d have been planned for 1 year..another friend planned his in 2 months and it was absolutely incredible and perfect.
