I went to the doctor today and now I’m depressed. I’ve gained 9 pounds in the last 4 months. I knew I wasn’t eating as healthy, but I didn’t know it was that bad. I should get back on track at the gym but I feel like I’ll never be down to the weight I was during the wedding.
Has this happened to anyone else or am I alone?

Don’t be sad! I gained close to 10lbs in the months following the wedding. I had no idea I was putting on weight until I had to start buying new jeans… You’re definitely not alone. This week I finally decided to get my butt in gear so I’ve been walking my dog more, riding my bike and doing jillian videos. 9lbs is nothin. You can do it girl 🙂

Wow yes me too. Put on about 8-10lbs since July. We went into seclusion after the wedding due to exhaustion, stress and just excitement wanting to be togethor. Then our house started building in August so we always had meetings and such then the holidays then nasty winter. We used these as excuses not to go to the gym. Its not a large amount and once you get back on track your body will bounce back. My self esteem has dropped tremendously bc I lost a lot of my tone so I’m making it a point to start back on the couch to 5k and the the 30 day shred. Good luck!

Yes, I gained weight after the wedding but I can kind of attribute it to my pregnancy since we conceived two weeks after the wedding. Or at least that is what I like to blame my weight gain on 🙂

I gained about 7 pounds, but mostly due to the fact that I had to eat lots of carbs for 3 weeks because I had to be tested for celiacs disease… Gluten makes me gain quickly…
Now the eating is back to normal, but the weight won’t come off easily, I’ve lost 2 so far. 5 more to go.
It’s not much, I know, but I am still pretty bummed because I had worked my butt off before the celiac testing, to maintain my weight…

Don’t worry! I gained twenty pounds the months leading UP TO the wedding and afterwards! After trying on bridesmaid dresses for my best friend’s wedding, I have been motivated to try to lose them again! I feel bad for my hubby for being stuck with Mrs. Chubs, but at least I know he must really love me! 😛

I have gained a bit but mostly I just lost muscle tone since the wedding. When we moved, I didn’t have the money to buy personal training sessions anymore so it’s hard to get any results on my own.

Yep! After we got married I gained about 5-7 pounds although Ive lost them since. The hubby is the one that has gotten plenty of “hey put on some marriage weight there didnt you”. Either ways they say when youre happy you eat and Im sure we were all VERY happy after we got married!

I’ve gained weight… but like Roddy, we conceived in the few weeks after the wedding. I’m dreading the get back into shape phase that’s scheduled to start this summer. Luckily Mr. DG and I have been designing a work out plan that we’ll be doing together (with the babe).

A few pounds, but I always put on winter weight to keep warm, and then lose it in the spring. It just sort of happens though. I’m ten times hungrier in the winter than the spring and I guess the weather is nicer so my workouts are longer.

yep! i’m ready to start playing outside now that it’s nice out and get back in shape. I’m not sweating it though – I think we both have put on a few!

i gained weight before the wedding! they say you’re so stressed you lose weight as a bride, but i’m a stress eater. i love my comfort food! luckily my dress was too big to begin with. i haven’t gained too much since the wedding though.

You are so not alone. I have also gain about 10 pounds since the wedding 🙁 I totally went full-force on carbs and comfort food after we got married, so I’m not surprised at all. This week I’m finally back to eating right and I feel better already! Like the previous poster’s said, 10 pounds is nothing. You’ll get there in no time!

I have gained…I moved in with my husband and have not found a gym near my new house. Hopefully with warmer weather we can start walking around the neighborhood together.
