Hi guys.. I am a newlywed by a little over 4 months. I am also newly expecting 😉 I’m just curious how you all celebrate VDay?! We usually do a nice dinner and drinks.. we exchange cards as well. This year I’m thinking we will do the same, minus drinks. We have been together for 7 and a half years and stopped doing gifts in exchange for a fancy dinner date. So what are you guys VDAY traditions?! What do you plan to do this year?

We aren’t doing anything…it always seems to stressful! Last year I made a nicer dinner, but I’m not worrying about it this year. Hubby has a dodgeball game and I’m going to kickboxing, LoL!
ETA: Congrats on the bambino!!

We are not a Valentine’s celebrating couple, except that we ended up getting married on it! This is going to be our 1st anniversary and we are going to see Wicked in 4th row seats. We’re trying to make this one really special because its our 1st. We won’t ever celebrate it in the typical Valentine’s way though because it isn’t part of our culture.

This year, Darling Husband is cooking dinner for me (a rare treat!)
In the past, we’d usually share a bottle of wine but Darling Husband hasn’t been drinking and I am pregnant this year as well, so we might have some sparkling cider.

That’s exactly what we do, we swap cards, and have a nice romantic dinner at home with some bubbly. This year I am thinkin of mixing it up by having a romantic inside picnic. Picture a blanket and pillows on the floor, low lights and candles and rose petals everywhere, soft music in the background, and il be serving food you can feed eat each other and eat with hands like bruschetta, strawberries with chocolate sauce etc and of course bubbly

We are going to swap little gifts [ie. I got him a wallet], a sweet card, & hopefully do dinner/drinks if our jobs allow it. This year, I work & I’m holding on to a small thread that one of the girls will actually trade with me :/. We’ll probably just do an extra sweet dinner on another day that is less busy haha.

I’m working. So is Darling Husband. Woohoo! 😉
Aaaand we’ll probably eat spaghetti or something for dinner. And afterwards, one of us will play Skyrim while the other watches. This is our usual routine.

I’ve never been one for valentines hoopla, so we don’t really do anything special/different. We’ll both work all day, I’ll cook dinner, we’ll eat as a family, and then do evening chores before crashing on the couch for a bit of TV before bed. A typical weeknight, really.
