Not really, we were more about trying to figure out what store to take them back to so we could get something we actually wanted!

Edit: I forgot, there were some candles we got that were scented, and I can’t handle scents, so I gave them to my grandma since they "match" her bathroom, lol.

When my bff got married 7 years ago, she didn’t register and they got 4 crockpots! So needless to say, 3 of them got regifted!

@tessabella76: I actually got two for my wedding, one we asked for and another one.  After a trips to about 10 different stores, Target finally took it and only gave us like 15 bucks for it, I would have been better off giving it to my mom who mentioned not long after that she would have loved it!

We re-gifted a glass lazy susan with purple pears painted all over it…it was the most hideous thing I’d ever seen in all my life. Someone gave it to us at our engagement party and I was just goign to give it to Goodwill but the week after the party, one of my BMs and her boyfriend were over and he said it was something his mom might like so he took it off our hands!

We were lucky in that we got a lot of great gifts.

Although, something on one of my registries must have gotten mixed up – I registered for 3 candleholders and I think I ended up with something like 6 (they are scattered between our house, my mom’s house, and my mom in laws house, so I don’t know the exact number). They are lovely, and I like them, but they are HUGE (much bigger than they looked on the Crate and Barrel web site). I can’t imagine what we will do with them all – at this point we’d have to have some in every room. Maybe some of those will find their way to someone else.

We got a cake stand/punch bowl that we did not register for that we couldn’t return.  We already had one, so I gave it to my sister, although not as a present.  I was happy that we only had a few people buy off the registry things and most of them were pretty cool or returnable.

We got pretty good gifts. My one aunt doesn’t like to give gifts you ask for so she gives entertaining pieces.  I am not sure that anyone would use the platter she gave me, but I will keep my eyes and ears open.  In the meantime, it sits in the basement.

I got two sets of "I do" coffee cups I’m going to gift at a shower. THey’re so cute, but I already have a set!

I did get an ugly platter, an 80’s corningware set, and a cheap crockpot. But I would NEVER give them away as they’re just awful. They’re going out for a garage sale or exchange for store credit. Most of it can be exchanged for what we want. Thankfully we mostly got gift cards/money. Those who went off the registry mostly knew us well enough to know we’d like it. I got a sweet cake platter off our registry!

We got a can opener that I would love to regift. Really was a strange gift — just an ordinary can opener, and of course we already have 2. It wasn’t on our registry and wasn’t in a package and even has a little rust on it, so it was strange all around.

On a related note, I’d really love to return some of the gifts my Father-In-Law gave us so that he could just get his money back. I know he’s strapped for cash and I don’t like the gifts, but hubs said we should keep them…

Yes, we are probably going to regift a few things. We were approached by two guests of ours regarding having an original art piece made for our new place. We were so excited, and then proceeded to look over the website of the artist. While the work is great – it is all food related, primary colors, and they are super small prints! The thought is nice, but in the end, we would love something more graphic, larger, and more modern. Guests will always try to be "creative"  – it’s the thought that counts, right? : )

I won’t regift but I did return or exchange to the best of my ability.  For anything left over that wasn’t something we were willing to keep, I donated it to Goodwill.

HAHA we got about 12 sets of Calphalon cooking utensils (hello?  There is a registry for a reason!) but we’ll most likely return that.  Though we did get a hideous set of these weird salad plates and bowls.  They were really expensive and from a random shop, so we cant return them.  I also cant really regift them bc the people I give them to would be like WTF?!? sooo yeah.  Who knows lol

Yah i don’t plan on regifting, especilly if it is something totally weird or strange. If someone happen to see it and like it, then i would just give it to them but for weddings i would definitely stick to the registry or cash.
