Is it not crazy that we can now say that our wedding is next month? It’s really strange and seems so close. I’m still waiting on quite a few rsvps.
Main tasks left
*organising table plan
*order of service
* making payments
What do you have left to do?
We put rsvp date as 14th April for our 19th May wedding so leaving a few extra days after that until we chase any missing people up.

becks90 : I am not a May bride but just wanted to say I ‘ve always envisioned myself to get married last weekend of May (Memorial Day weekend in US) ever since I got engaged. However, after talking to my photographer, he just reminded me that May & June are the cloudiest months in our area especially by the coast. He wanted me to know this so there will be no surprises for me on the wedding day. I will be getting married steps from the beach so that idea was scratched off. But May is still my most favorite time of the year.
ETA: You’re date twins with Meghan and Harry

I know right, finreminded me yesterday that it’s exactly a month until the wedding. Time flies by so fast.

Yay! 83 yes and waiting for about 25 more RSVPs. Our due date is May 1 and it’s killing me to wait another month before telling people to RSVP! I’m building the seating chart as we go (excel has been my best friend planning)
-We are still trying to pick a first dance song!
-Final fitting for dress in a week
-My bach. party is next weekend and bridal shower is May 6.

Ahh so crazy. 51 days to go for me! (May 26). It feels like the time is going so slowly but also flying ha!
Bachelorette is end of month and then it’s the home stretch! Still feel like I need to lose 5-7 lbs though which is daunting :/

becks90 : Congratulations ! I’m so excited to be getting married. We share the same wedding date 🙂 My rsvp deadline is May 4th, and we’re having a classic romance theme wedding with focus on roses. Basically, something easy and fun lol Anyway, our colors are purple, silver and white. Here’s my list of things still left to do, subject to change 🙂 1. Make my BMs and maid of honor bouquets, a few centerpieces still left to make, programs, setting a time for our rehearsal, paying off our wedding cake baker and vocalist, getting back up with my Future Sister-In-Law about the bridal shower she wants to have for me, setting up a time to decorate the Church and reception hall, and ordering the groom’s cake. Wow, that’s a lot now that I look at it, time for a nap lol

Saying next month definitely feels crazy to me! I’m 5th May, and we’re still waiting on about half RSVP’s. Biggest tasks are probably paying balances, doing the table chart, and just getting all the bits and pieces we need to bring ready to go.
Oh and packing for the honeymoon!

socalgirl1689 : The country where I live usually has cloud and rain throughout the year so I could easily pick a July date and have bad weather. Are you East Coast? Yes 🙂 date twins . I’m looking forward to seeing pictures of hers… mine is 1hr later so maybe I’ll catch some tv coverage before getting collected (I’m 5 mins away from my church) . Your wedding sounds a great location near the beach!
anabolina : aaaaah does your wedding seem so close now? Are you nervous?
eurasianbee : that seems like good numbers rsvping. I probably don’t really need mine until then but know fi’s family are so laid back that I’ll spend time chasing them up. What songs are on your potential first dance list?
irishbride2018 : you can easily lose that weight! It’s still a while yet and will be worth it.
AutumnFlower : you’ve set out your tasks clearly so I have faith you’ll easily get them done! Yay for date twins. Are you USA or UK based?
MiaSuperstar : with regards to panties why don’t you go for something sexy for your new hubby? Saying that I eyed up lacy firm control panties :p. Definitely do a wedding recap because your beach wedding sounds lovely.
MrsSapphireTopaz : yay. Where are you heading for honeymoon? Has table planning been hard?

eurasianbee : That first dance song has been so hard for us. I don’t like the sentimental songs fi likes and he doesn’t like the ones I like. We settled on the Piano Guys version of the Jurassic Park theme lol. We practiced dancing to it last night and it is doable. Now were both waiting for parental concurrence for their songs.
MrsSapphireTopaz : At least you’ve gotten RSVPs back, I heard from a lot of people that they are so excited to come, but very few actually went to the website or emailed me, People just don’t RSVP in our culture or families and its annoying lol. I’m half inclined to make it a facebook event because people actually respond to those invites lol.
MiaSuperstar : That’s crazy about them holding onto the rings. If they are ready, they need to send them. I forgot to approve my cads last week, so mine won’t be done until April 11-13. Fis ring came in yesterday so he tried it on and I was so excited that it fit perfect and he loves it.

We have no ideas! My choice of a first dance song was vetoed (Can’t help falling in love with you) and my Fiance says he doesn’t like any slow songs. Thankfully, we decided to omit the parent dances since we are stressed enough over the first dance! I like the Jurassic theme (played it on my violin for a concert once)!
We have a decent amount of RSVPs but there’s always the people who verbally say they are coming and think they don’t have to RSVP! I’m doing online RSVPs which I was a bit nervous about doing but most people seem ok with it.

becks90 : No, not the east coast. I live in the west coast, Southern California. We have a weather phenomenon here that we call May Gray and June Gloom. Despite what movies and tv shows portray, we do get those 2 cloudy months every year. Plus on any given week, 2 days will be cloudy on average. But for the most part it is sunny…not just as sunny as some might imagine.

- Wedding: May 2018 - Lansing, Michigan
May 25th here! We have gotten quite a lot of RSVPs back so far, I’m still working on ceremony and music stuff. Our engagement really flew by, we got engaged in October 2016.

becks90 : Honeymoon will be in London and Rome with a stop ove in Paris, 3 weeks total, which is a big trek from Australia! But we’re excited.
Table planning has been a bit difficult so far, but mostly because of the lack of our RSVPs at this stage, we’re luckly in that many of the guests know quite a few other guests. So we’ve been testing out groupings of couples and people they know, trying to keep both sets of parents happy with who they want to sit with too. I think at the end of the day, if we’re sitting partners together, and at least one other grouping of guests they know at the same table they should all be ok.
anabolina : we’ve also had a few that have just tried to verbally respond, and I’ve basically been pleading to just please send back the pre addressed and stamped envelope we provided. I just wanted all the responses to be in one format to make it easier to keep track of, but I guess I’m going to have to accept the verbals at this late stage considering our seating chart has to be in this weekend (earlier than I originally thought). Before wedding planning, I had no idea RSVP’s would actually be so hard to manage!
