I previously wrote about a too good to be true dress I bid on ebay… It was too good, and now have my money back after what looks to be they stopped selling or making dresses they had orders to. (Last post) It was only $46 and got a refund, so no biggy.
It didnt make me doubt there are good/honest replica dress makers out there, but not to expect miricles.
This time I went looking and made sure to check to 4 things:
*90% of their items sold were actual dresses not $1 cheap fillers
*100% feedback, and in english so I dont need to translate or have Bridesmaid or Best Man translate… Makes it hard to get a feel if its a “soft” positive, or really excited.
*All their contact info was actual, not fake (last stores was ALL fake)
*I wanted to see an actual dress
I found a few stores and emailed them, only one emailed back within hours. This one was $113 W/shipping and gloves (69.99 euros) I dont care for gloves, but ehh… free gift. I told her I liked one of her dresses, had a few questions, then she OFFERED before I could ask if I wanted to see the dress I was interested in, but they only had in a different color.
I asked to see a different dress in the color I wanted, but just to see fabric. It was perfect.
They have it fully lined, boned, and lace up. You should think with the lining and boning it would be a no brainer, but I guess alot of cheap sellers will send without, and since its not in the description they get away with it. So, anyone ordering, ASK if not in description. If the amount isnt stated, ask how many. You want 7-10 bones at lest.
I put in my order, measurements, color, and she emailed me right away. First she was confirming I calculated right (she does metric so I did have to convert) because with her calculations I was 4’8″ and I should re check if not correct on all measurements.. lol.. I am that short, but it was nice she wanted to confirm. I was proffesionally measured, I just converted.
Then her other question was that the color I specified by number does not match the color she thought we talked about. It is SO hard on those color charts especially without names, so the ones I picked were wrong. I told her what colors I want (Light ivory with Pewter embrodery)I was so relived she caught that, or I would have champane, not ivory.
She actually asked for close up shots and pictures of the dress in the colors I like. So I emailed her this pic I found on google
She told me she really liked those colors and would make closer to this picture than their stock red and white one, because the stock one looks like in pictures that there is little beading on lace, and this looks like alot more. No extra charge! She did ask I take a pic when I recieve and email it to her for other customers to see on a person.
I am really liking her, and I am supposed to have in hand within 25 days, so plenty of time to get refund or redo dress in paypal protection. If there are any issues she has 7 day return (although never count on that.. alot do, but use loop holes) or will remake for free with free expeaded shipping. I still paid by credit card though.. Just in case
I hope any of this helps people looking for replica makers, and I am just so excited!!! I try not ot be in case this one turns out like the other, but its hard not to.
