Any other 2015 ladies excited to finally say your wedding is “next year”? I got engaged this past April and due to grad school, we decided to have a long engagement. Telling people our date always seems to require an explanation – now we can all officially say, “We’re getting married next year!”
Anyone else get excited about little milestones?

It just seems so weird for me to even think about!

I’m excited! We’ve been engaged since August, and people always gave weird looks that we were having a 22 month engagement — because FI didn’t want to be in graduate school when we got married. So it was always, “Yes, we’re engaged. Yes, it’s serious even though the wedding isn’t in the next 12 months. Yes, here’s why.”
Now it’s NEXT YEAR. Almost 15 months away.

Yes! I have been waiting to say “next year” for almost a year! This long engagement thing works for my wallet, but not for my patience. Haha!

@kirabee: So excited to finally be able to say I am getting married next year. It makes me feel like planning should be a little more urgent now! I have been planning like a mad woman for the past week after doing almost nothing for the past 6 months!

@kirabee: I’m April 2015, but I totally feel the same way! Now when anyone asks I can say “next April!” instead of the mouthful that is “April 2015” and have people look at me like I’m crazy lol.
