Hi Everyone, I am excited about NFP, I think it’s a great way to know your body and also to plan your family without using anything artificial.
I am wondering how many kids you all are hoping/planning to have?

I have two, but want another.
My body appearantly has it’s own way of deciding when I will/won’t get pregnant, how much I will/won’t weight, etc. It’s weird and it really sucks!

We’d ideally like to have 2 (one boy, one girl) but I can see us with 3.

Ideally 2 (one of each). 3 at most.

You didn’t put an option for zero.
That’s our plan.

@kala_way: This isn’t meant to sound snarky, I’m just surprised cause I’ve never heard anyone answer that. You’re doing NFP and planning on having 0 kids?

What does NFP stand for!?

@Miss.Lace: Natural Family Planning.

Fiance wants 2, I want 3…but, our wants and God’s plan for us may be different!

Ah, didn’t know what NFP stood for. I thought it was one of those wedding bee acronyms that I didn’t know like Not Wedding Related.

I have 5 kids 4 girls ages 13,10,6 and 4 and 1 boy age 2

I voted 2-4. I actually only want 2…a boy and a girl (ideally…not planning on doing any weird scientific stuff to guarantee the childs sex). Fiance wants 4. Here’s how our conversation about children went:
ME: Why do you want so many?
Fiance: Because 4 is an even number
ME: So is 2!?!?
Fiance: But 2 is a prime number.
ME: I give up…I’ll give you 4 kids if you make enough that I don’t have to work.

I’ve been using FAM for a long time (6 years!) and have one son. Fiance is going to be 43 shortly after we marry, so we want at least one, maybe two. 🙂
