So, after reading some recent threads (that will remain unnamed ) I ordered Taking Charge of Your Fertility off amazon.
I am so sick of Bridal Party, I have changed my pill so. many. times! been on it for seven years, since I was 16. Every brand gave me a variety of horrible, heavy periods, moodiness, weight gain etc.
Our wedding is in July, and we were planning on not-trying-not-to-conceive this winter. I am petrified of getting pregnant before the wedding! Not that it wouldn’t be doable, but, I’m going into my last year of grad school and I didn’t want to be giving birth instead of at my graduation .
So I guess I’m asking – who uses NFP? How hard is it to get used to? Basic reassurance & info? Thanks in advance! 🙂

I use NFP for health reasons last now. I’ve never been on a BCP but I love NFP! Once you learn how to do it it’s pretty simple and there’s a lot of support out there if you have any questions or need any tips. I highly recommend it. It’s also a good way for you to still be planning while getting your body used to being off BC.

thanks! 🙂 I’m in the middle of BCP so I’m thinking I’ll wait until I get my P next week, then just stop going on it. My gyn said whenever I want to go off it just to stop taking it. I’m kind of excited! hah, I feel goofy

I do and have been using TCOYF since 2005. I used it in reverse to TTC my son and got pregnant one my first cycle. I didn’t chart while breastfeeding but have had 35+ cycles with FAM. I would suggest that you use a condom for the first 2-3 cycles, until you know your cervical fluid signs. Once you know them, you can’t ignore them, even when not charting. 🙂 I love it!
