I love the little town Niagara-on-the-lake! It is so romantic and wonderful! Last year we went to Peller Estates winery for wine tasting and we fell in LOVE with the grounds! if you google Peller Estates you will understand why were so saddened when we learned that they do not hold wedding receptions.
another appealing option is WhiteOaks, they have 4 or 5 reception rooms, and each of them is beautiful!
This is their website http://www.whiteoaksresort.com/index.html
Has anybody ever had experience with WhiteOak? Can you share your experience? We dont want to contact them regarding the price until we have a solid date in mind, which we at the moment do not, we just have a rough month timeline (We are newly engaged :))
did anyone have their wedding in Nagara on the Lake?
would love to hear your stories!

@Arganique: white oaks is pretty, but I found another venue that the prices were amazing and they even have an ALL InCLUSIVE package (I recommmend you don’t use the photographer in their package no good, the venue is looking to switch him out anyways).
The place is called Stone MIll Inn, it’s down the street from White Oaks, officially in St.Catharines. I will be getting married there. The venue is beautiful, only down side is the grounds the venue is on…for pictures, you may need a limo to take you to more pretty place for outside.
I recommend at least looking at them!!! The lady that is the coordinaator there is amazing, and ultra flexible…they will try to work withing your budget.
It’s worth a look. Their food is amazing!

My wedding will be at White Oaks in August and the staff have been super so far. We took a morning tour last August when we had a rough idea of what day we wanted. There were 3 weddings going on that weekend we went, so we got to see the different rooms when they were being set up and the garden area where most of the ceremonies take place (there is also a large, beautiful indoor space on the off-chance that it will rain and this is always reserved as back-up for each wedding).
There are separate receptions spaces based on the size of your wedding and they are nicely spaced out around the resort, so you won’t be running into the other weddings or have to hear their music drown out yours. (Ours is the Upper Studios and has its own private glass stairway entrance where you can see the whole garden – squeal!) There is a green room that is included in your booking as a holding place for your wedding party that is right by the ceremony garden as a place to relax before the wedding (or spy on your guests) and your wedding night suite is complimentary. If you also want to hold a breakfast buffet the next morning, they even have a beautiful space just for that.
Overall, we picked this place because of the tour we had and the beautiful grounds and layout of the resort. There are endless photo opportunities and the hotel is chic and well maintained. They are very flexible with the food choices (we’re starting to book our menu) and they have a great list of highly reccommended vendors. We were even a little late on our second deposit (I thought it was due a week later) and they were completely fine with it.
