There are so many but one of the recent was that he calls me “my fish” which sounds weird. But in our mother tongue “honey” (balım) and “my fish” (balığım) sound almost exactly the same except for the long vowel on the second syllable.
I asked him why he called me this way and he said “because you are the luck of my life and fish means luck.” It’s so unique and aww ❤️

My favourite is always when he tells me that I’m the most inspiring person he’s met. That I’m passionate about what I do and that it shows. That he’s inspired by my drive.
Moves me to tears. :’)

He once said ‘I’m so content, being with you is like eating an ice cream that never ends.’ lol

I love this thread!! Please keep these coming!
My SO always tells me sweet things like how beautiful, smart, and wonderful they find me which of course melts my heart but I think one of the nicest things they’ve ever said took me by complete surprise.
We were talking about how I wanted to attempt to make a special meal that I had never made without my mother who had passed away some years prior. Even though my SO was telling me it would be delicious, I was worried it wouldn’t be nearly as good as my mother’s and said, “she made it the best”.
Without missing a beat, my SO responded, “I know, she made the best of everything. Including the best human” and I’m an only child so I know that meant me! lol
But yeah, that was probably one of the best things I’ve ever heard as it was a compliment to both me and to my lovely mom.

My man, soon to be Fiance (God willing, very soon) tell me nice things alll of the time. He’s very reassuring. Sooo one of the nicest things was that he “cant wait to spend the rest of his life with me and my daughter” he said this about 7 months of dating. We are still going strong and i hear consistent sweet saying at least 2x a week at 22 & 1/2 months in (almost 2 years)

Love this!! One stands out immediately for me. When we saw Wonder Woman in theaters and we were walking out of the theater, I was going on about my girl crush on Wonder Woman. And my husband said “you really remind me of her. You’re super tough, and badass, and resilient, but at the same time you’re so caring and compassionate toward the people around you.” That was such a high compliment in my book, because I do pride myself on being both of those things, and having him acknowledge that and knowing he noticed was so amazing to me.

I am an educator by profession. Recently I had the opportunity to present about a hobby of mine at a conference for people of our religion. So he was able to come to my presentation. Afterwards, he went on and on about how he could tell what a great educator I am by how I worked the room and handled the presentation. It was very sweet. He doesn’t get to see my professional work much, and I loved that he respects and values it.
