I like charlie! But then I’m partially biased. If I have a girl I want to name her Charlotte and call her Charlie

I vote Charlie if you have to have a nickname, why not just call him Charles?

My nephew’s name is Charles and we call him charlie….he calls himself charlies (he’s 5)….he’s actually named after the charlatans…a british band….

    I agree with chucky….no doll killer names…

I will have the same issue in the future. FH’s family has a tradition where all the sons have the same first name? It is so confusing when Fh and his dad d are in the same room. It’s also confusing when they get mail.

People will call him what they want.  My name is Jessica some call me jess some call me Jessie and weirdly my Dad calls me molly my nanny calls me miss messy.  FI names Jason Some call him Jay his mom calls him Jase his dad calls him Chelsea(which has nothing to do with his name) and a lot of people he went to school with call him chels.

I love the nickname Charlie, I think it’s very suitable for a little one and a good name to grow into. Not to mention after years and years of chucky movies, I’m not a fan of the name either. He will be your son, what you choose to name him (and of course the father as well) trumps and inlaw nicknames he may receive. Pick which one you two agree on and stick with it, eventually they will all start to follow you and call him what you and his father call him
