    I would consider having them both be flower girls so that they feel like total equals (especially if they are sisters), but you might see what their parents say (we are having THREE flower girls to get all the nieces in)

    i would make them both flower girls. the 5 year old might be too nervous to walk down the aisle alone, so having a buddy might help! and 7 is a little young for a junior bm. you could make the 7 year old your ring bearer if you don’t have any nephews!

    I like nmsoonerbride’s idea. My sister is two years older than me, but when we were growing up, we always felt like we were the same age, so it would have been odd to us to have two different roles. I’m guessing the seven-year-old will want to toss flower petals as much as the five-year-old!

    I say have them both as flower girls… I don’t think they are too old at all…

    I would make them both flower girls. 7 years old is waaaayyyy to young even for a junior bridesmaid.

    I agree with previous posters. Life will be easier on everyone if the girls have the same role.  Two years isn’t really a large enough age difference to allow one to be a Bridesmaid or Best Man and the other a flower girl. It’s nice that you are being so thoughtful about this, though! 🙂

    My 4 year old niece would be super jealous if the 7 year old got to be a bridesmaid and not her.  In order to avoid any fights (they act like sisters even though they are cousins), they will both be flowergirls and wear the same dress.

    I also think 7 is way too young to be a bridesmaid or even a junior bridesmaid

    @mcnetn3: Yeah…girls at this age don’t exactly embrace diversity…

    Nah… I was in a wedding with 2 flower girls and 1 ring bearer. The boy just walked down with a girl on each side…. it was crazy adorable!

    I would also say both flower girls, I think 7 is super young to be a bridesmaid.

    I’d have 7 yr old as junior bridesmaid, she is too young for a bridemaid.
