We spent the night apart, he went to the hotel where the reception was for the night and I stayed at our house with two of my bridesmaids.  The girls were all coming over to get ready in the morning so it was easier just have him out of our hair

I stayed at the hotel by myself and he was at our house with his best man. Honestly the best decision  I made to be without bridesmaids, family, or fiancé because I had no one bothering me with questions or stressing me out and I was completely able to destress before our wedding. I relaxed, watched tv, and slept a solid 8 hours.

We will be staying in the hotel together. The rehearsal dinner Friday night and the wedding ceremony are much closer to the hotel, so it wouldn’t make sense for us to go all the way back to his apartment. He gets kicked out fairly early in the morning though so the girls can eat breakfast and start getting ready 🙂

We will be with each other the night before. I want to sleep in my own bed, and I have a feeling he does too. I never got that tradition, especially for couples that live together. We have seen each others bits and we are adults, lol no reason to stay away.

I want to see him before i get dolled up and see my furbabies before i disappear for the day.

We had all able bridal party members and ushers come over and we had a wine, champagne, and movies sleepover at my parents house. It was like 12 of us maybe. We all slept together on the floor and theater chairs. It was really really fun! The morning of the wedding we all went to breakfast together!

So we’ll be in Jamaica, but Fiance is going to have to find someplace else to sleep because it’s not with me!! Because it’s a destination wedding, I’m trying to add some traditions to it to keep it real. So I’ll be with my mom and Maid/Matron of Honor probably and we’ll do girl things lol

my favorite part of my entire wedding day was spending about an hour together in bed the day we got married. Just the two of us  locked up in our suite together talking about the night before and everything that was going to happen that day. We exchanged our gifts and cards and private vows and he read me a poem he wrote for me for our wedding…. it was just so sweet and nice and special

it’s definitely not for everyone (and my mom was not happy!!! she wanted him to go and hide away at midnight) but I just couldn’t imagine not having him by my side on the biggest night of our lives together.  Also it was his wedding too and in the end there was no way I was going to go make him sleep on the pull out sofa in his parents room or something like that… why should he have to have a crappy uncomfortable night just so that we could follow “tradition”

I know its kind of silly for us in our positiion (2 kids together) to spend the night before apart, but this is one of those few traditions I want to follow. He is going to see me anyway at the first look, but I think it will add to the anticipation.
