I have heard of them but never been to one. Especially outside. I think it could be really pretty! I just worry about the guests and how late everything would be starting for them.

I think it’s a cool idea! Those pics look lovely. Our wedding ceremony won’t start until 8pm, but at our latitude in July it’ll still be light out.

I’m having one.  The downsides are that pics will also be in night light and dinner will be wicked late.  But I’m really looking forward to walking down a candlelit outdoor aisle.

I’ve never been to one, but it looks so pretty! I would be worried about photos as well. My outside wedding will most likely start at 7, I’m worried about people being hungry. So that is one thing to think about. But if it’s clearly at night (after 8) then people would come having already eaten some kind of meal… I would hope. Then again, my fiance’s family doesn’t eat until 9 or LATER! Wow.

I love this idea! Unfortunately, my parents’ families are all early to bed and NOT night owls. It looks so romantic though.

I work at a hotel and we had one night wedding last wedding season. It was gorgeous….the couple actually did a reception before the cermony.  Which was not all that great because most of the guests were intoxicated by the time the ceremony rolled around.  It can be beautiful if you can just figure out all the logistics!

Having dinner underway 30 minutes after the ceremony starts is probably pushing it, especially if you want photos.

My ceremony starts at 7:30 too, and I’m having he caterers hand out champagne and hor d’oevres as people recess from the ceremony.  I’m asking them to be part of the photo taking so we can enjoy the outdoors a bit longer too.  I don’t think anyone will have a place of sit-down food before 8:30 though.  Everyone has been warned to train up for a late night.

This could be cool. You could have your BMs carry lanterns!

We are having a Friday night wedding.  The ceremony starts at 7pm.  It’s taking place indoors but there will be lots of candle and uplighting.  We are going for swanky, loungy, cocktails, dinner, and dancing type feel.  Just mention it when speaking with photographers if you are concerned about pics like we did.  A good photog will know what to do in such a setting…

We are doing an evening wedding (inside) with lots of candlelight also.  Almost the whole ballroom will be washed with candlelight.  I really can’t wait to see it all come together.

I really love those Bridesmaid or Best Man lanterns, such a cute idea!
