@BellaDee:  Agreed, but I don’t do bronzer on pale skin–it looks too unnatural for me. I like what you have on, OP, but I think the concealer is throwing me off.

@primrosehedge:  Yes to this, as well. Undereye liner should be very soft.

@BellaDee:  +1 I thought that the picture on the right was still the previous makeup artist.

@DanielleElizabeth:  I agree with a few of the PP. The concealer is the absolute wrong color. Because of the blush, it looks like the MUA put your foundation on very splotchy, and just didn’t go over your cheeks. Also, if you want color under your eyes, I’d suggest smudging a pencil out to be much softer and blurred, or even using a dark shadow instead of a pencil. The way she applied it in those pictures is very harsh. :/

I’d also like to point out that you can get some great makeup at Walgreens and CVS, etc. you just have to know what to look for. and this is coming from someone who is very big into makeup, knows a lot about it, and I love me some high end makeup. However, there are some drugstore products that are just as good, if not better, than some high end products.

@vorpalette:  +1 I think she was talking about a bronzy blush, not a bronzer. For instance something like MAC’s Ripe For Love… I use it and I’m very pale. It’s a great peach-y color, but it has some warmth (i.e. bronziness) to it that really warms up the skintone without making it seem overdone like bronzer can do if you’re not careful.

@mrspinesol:  Ah, I tend to stay away from peachy-bronze blushes because they make me look weird. I go for bright pink (ELF Pink Passion) on my very pale skin (auburn/brown hair, blue/green eyes).

@vorpalette:  ohhh, I have ELF Pink Passion, but I don’t use it. Haha, that’s so funny how people’s preferences are different. I’m also pale with brown hair and green eyes.

Maybe blend blush to your under eye, looks yellowish with your flash.

Yeah, it’s a good thing you went to a new salon. The first one looks like they haphazardly dressed you to go to work. You look gorgeous in the second round! I love the half up half downn look on you 🙂

You are gorgeous!  I like the half-updo better, personally, but you will look great with whichever style you choose.

As far as makeup goes, I would highly recommend going somewhere other than a salon.  Generally, in cosmetology school students only spend 1-2 weeks studying makeup application and rarely use it afterwards.  I would recommend hiring a professional freelance MUA with a great reputation or going to a makeup counter that you love.  Since they use the products just about everyday they will have a much better idea of what products will work with with your skin type (oily/dry/combination) and be able to match your coloring.

I also have to agree with @mrspinesol about the drugstore makeup products!  I’m a college student, but I freelance when I can and I keep certain drugstore products in my kit at ALL times!  For example I almost always buy a new tube of Maybelline the Falsies waterproof mascara for every job and give it to the client after I finish their makeup.  I have tried so many mascaras and I have never found anything that works as well, regardless of price!

@DanielleElizabeth:  The second one is soooo much better! Especially the hair on top and the curls look more natural and less “stiff” and prom-like. The makeup wasn’t too bad on the first one but the second is soo much better!!

I love the hair & makeup! So much better than the first time! I do agree with PP’s about some minor issues that could easily be fixed- the under eye line is rather harsh, I’d prefer to see it smudged out a little more or even put on your waterline rather than undereye; and I agree the undereye concealer looks a little yellow-ish. All easy fixes!
