That stinks I don’t know that to tell you except try to take time to relax in your waking hours and see if that helps.

Awww, I’m sorry to hear that this has been happening. I have had a couple, and the common theme is it seems like I’m going about my day and then all of a sudden the day turns into my WEDDING day and I’m totally unprepared. Which is the opposite, my mom is an analyst for her job and she and I are very on top of things so far! I had my dress (sample one I got for free) before I was even engaged, and my first couple nightmares were that I had to suddenly get ready and I was wearing someone’s white prom dress that was ugly. I remember saying “Wait! This is the one thing I DO have!!! Where is MY dress!!!”

Last night I had one (think it’s because we officially hit the one year mark, honestly) and I knew it was my wedding the next day but for some reason we had no food prepared, or caterer booked. I was at a function for a local singer, and HE had a catered event, and I literally talked the caterer into using the leftovers from this event, saving them, and serving them the next night at my reception o_O.

I do hope the nightmares stop for you. Maybe they will as you slowly get projects done, and your mind won’t feel as stressed. I wish I had better advice to offer! Sometimes I try to joke about my nightmare, and make it seem silly rather than awful and stressful, and it eases my anxiety a little?

I have wedding nightmares more often than I would like. Lately, it seems all of the nightmares are related to things I still have to do – book a florist, hairdresser, get Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, etc. I’m starting to get used to not having a good night’s sleep, but I don’t think that’s a good thing! I’m hoping once stuff gets done that the nightmares go away, too!

With eveything that just happened to me a little while after my first post I am having nightmares now and not sleeping so I can relate.  I’ve been having nightmare about not fitting into the dress and about jobs etc etc.  It’s been awful.

Now that I have been able to go to the gym again and work out its deminished but not by much.  At least I can sleep now.  Hopefully your stess will fade as your checklist shrinks.

We’re date twins…and possibly engagement twins!  (I got engaged in June as well.)  I have no advice, but wanted to let you know you’re not alone.  I don’t have wedding specific nightmares, but similar theme depending on what vendor or issue I was tackling that day.  Some days it’s fine, other days I barely sleep.  If you find something that works, please share!  🙂

I’ve had wedding nightmares since shortly after getting engaged. The theme is usually me not being prepared (like not having shoes?!) and things being messed up by acts of God (seriously everything from a zombie apocolypse to a massive tornado that destroys the town). In speaking with my friends who are married, this is pretty common pre-wedding stress and it’s just your brain’s way of dealing with all the crazy.

Oh My Gosh. I was just talking to a friend who is getting married a month after I am next year and I was explaining to her all these craze wedding nightmares and wondering if she had had any yet. I’m glad to know I’m not alone. I told my fiancee I need some socks for my cold feet ;). Hahaha.
