Nope.  I can’t stand the thought of *potentially* seeing someone die.  I deal with death way too much (I’m an EMT) and would rather not on my day off… can’t bear it.

I was pacing around my house like a nervous nelly when he did the grand canyon walk, simply because my dad was calling out to me and telling me his every move.  Nope nope nope.

I watched the niagra falls and grand canyon one.  I can’t do it again tonight.  I don’t know how his wife can do it.

I live in Chicago and it’s pretty hyped up here! I am not going downtown to watch…but I do have the Discovery channel on. not gonna lie, it’s giving me heart palpitations just thinking about it especially since I know exactly where he is going to be walking and how far down that fall would be!

I think he will be fine. The Wallendas are a family with generations of stunt entertainers.

nikkiibee:  I read that the Discovery Channel is broadcasting at a ten second delay so they can cut the feed if something happens. But literally my palms are sweating watching him do this. It’s crazy!!

Glad to hear it was a success.

Oh I agree that there is a possibility…I just think that Nik and his family are probably very cautious after what happened to his grandfather.

I refuse to watch anything like that. So this guy managed to not die today? Whoop-dee-doop.

I can’t watch it…I once watched a special on the family though, and (accidentally) watched the footage of the grandfather falling. They didn’t give any warning as to what we were about to see, and it really freaked me out. I can’t stand the idea of someone putting their life at risk purely for entertainment.

I watched part of this from my balcony tonight!
